HELP! reclaiming charges through hardship

Hi,
I have sent off my bank statements to halifax and received the usual letter saying they beleive it is lawful etc.
I would now like to proceed under hardship but can anyone tell me if you have to actually prove this and if so how do we do this? or do yo u need to be in certain amount of debt to do this ...?
or do we just state on the letter we are in hardship ?

Yes. Write a letter to them detailing the charges taken, your personal financial situation, details of any debts/arrears etc and they should send you an Income Expenditure form to complete.
Have a look at the FSA waiver Annexe 2 (page 11) and include any points that apply to your situation:
