Halifax charges please help!

Hi i have closed down my Halifax account as i was getting so many charges and it was like a vicious circle everytime i paid them off id get another charge so wen i had paid all my outstandings back i closed the account but i have loads of bank charges to reclaim i was wondering if i could still claim even though its closed and i dont have any accounts with them and if i can what is the first step i have to take! thanks very much Ash
