Facebook is Dangerous! Delete Your Acount Now!
Tommy Robinson's Facebook account got deleted for, amongst other things, a post urging people to '...behead those who follow the Koran', according to the BBC. If he did say this, then got banned, I'd have no problem with it. But it's not quite clear that they are saying that HE said it - it may refer to a third-party…

iKlear
I've had a really stubborn oily fingerprint on my iPhone 8 which I couldn't clean off. Tried microfibre, tried a hot damp cloth with a touch of soap etc - nothing. Now i've bit the bullet and bought the iKlear stuff. A little spray on the grey cloth, a quick rub on the screen and the mark has gone. I'm so chuffed. I…

Very impressed with John Lewis
In contrast to the earlier thread about JL on a different matter, I have been very impressed with the outcome of my recent problem. Four months ago I bought a set of quite expensive mugs, together with other crockery in the same range. (I was replacing all my crockery which was ancient and showed it, and when I saw this…

Council refuses to release consultation results after FOI request
Our local council recently conducted a public consultation which attracted an extremely large number of responses (10,000). The vast majority of responses were submitted online. The consultation mechanism allowed anonymous responses, and did not have any controls to prevent anonymous responses. The result of the…

Contactless payments
Is it just me, or is there an astonishing design flaw in those "tap to pay" contactless terminals that are everywhere. Specifically, you have to tap the screen, blocking it with your card. So there's no indication as to whether or not it's gone through!! You have to block the screen for an arbitrary amount or time and…

nPower Customer service - vent
My elderly mother in law is with nPower on a fixed until 2020 contract. She just recieved her latest bill - she pays £76 per month on DD and is approx £25 in credit after the Summer & Autumn. Her bill said her DD is being raised to £101 with no explanation. So she got confused & rang me in a panic - on Saturday night, I…

Savvy Benefits Card scam
This company is a scam!!! Feel like I got duped as well into getting this card when I applied for a loan. I entered my bank details for a loan application but it went to this website. Trying to get back the £29.99 membership fee from them is impossible. I was promised it would be returned within 3-5 working days but it’s…

Website looks a bit suspect
I was looking to get a fitbit charge 3 and a company called Techos appeared at the top on the list when googling, they have the Charge 3 at £67 which seemed a bit cheap to me along with other deals. I searched for them on the web and couldn't find any info, they also quoted a Company Number of 11350196, I did a search on…

Scottish Power Phone Calls
I kept getting a call from an unknown number on my phone, eventually I answered it so I could tell them to get lost. It was Scottish Power, trying to get me to switch. I am with a green electricity company, and pay less than what they are offering. I said I wasn't interested. The person on the phone was trying to get me to…

AirB&B
So I booked an AirB&B in London last weekend. Sent hello message, no reply. Sent another and still no reply. Sent polite text on the day to check they were expecting me. Check in was from 4pm. Around 6.30 got a text saying I couldn't come as they only host females. Complained to AirB&B who eventually refunded my money but…

Tesco bio detergent tablets don't dissolve!
Has anyone else had trouble with the new Tesco own brand bio detergent tablets for your washing machine. Our washing machine started to flood and after investigation, we realise the problem is the new design detergent tablets. They do not dissolve very well at all and block up the inside of the machine. We have placed a…

John Lewis major fail
My personal data was compromised through John Lewis and they arent taking any notice whatsoever in investigating. This happened in December 2018 and after alot of empty promises they are still unable to lift up a phone to discuss this with me. I have dealt with at least ten different people none of which seem to have a…

Customs delay
I ordered some health supplements from the US that I need ASAP. Of course they had to be the ones that customs has snatched but the company who sent them had this update a week ago. I have checked the details and see that the order was successfully delivered to your country customs LANGLEY HWDC, GB on Fri, February 8,…

Tesco Packaging
Last week bought Tesco toilet rolls. Film packaging "recycle with carrier bags". This week new packaging "not currently recyclable". I thought supermarkets were supposed to be getting more green.

Forums are awkward to navigate
Sorry if this is the wrong place but this vent is about the MSE forums themselves. There ought to be an option to read a thread in reverse order, most other forums do this. I know I can go to the latest post and work backwards but it's a bit awkward and unnatural. Is there a chance this option could be implemented?

Vent about the De Vita Platt Solicitors thread
Just wanted to vent my annoyance about this weird monologue thread which I consider to be a mixture of strange and annoying. If we all mark it as spam , will it go away ? :undecided: (Apologies if it's just me that feels this way - but iv had my vent now)

Taste card why pay when same on Meerkat
The Taste Card recently has lost a lot of the smaller restaurants on its site. It seems now to be a total waste of money as the Meerkat 2 for 1 almost mirrors the tastecard restaurants and is a much cheaper option.

Adobe Stock
I recently signed up to a free trial for Adobe Stock, a website that offers royalty free photos. I forgot to cancel my subscription, and was billed £23 for a month. I thought I could just cancel and that would be that. But Adobe are charging me £119 cancellation fee. Now I'm really worried. This was not made clear when I…

W5 Active Power Rim Blocks - Lemon Fresh
Hi. If anyone shops in LIDL supermarket, I would not recommend these. http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/lidl-price-comparison/Household_Cleaning/W5_Active_Power_Rim_Blocks_Lemon_Fresh_2.html?TrackingCode=AQIiAAE.lxwL4XO4y0axvFor4grxJw There are 4 rim blocks on each cage.
