Forums are awkward to navigate

Sorry if this is the wrong place but this vent is about the MSE forums themselves.
There ought to be an option to read a thread in reverse order, most other forums do this.
I know I can go to the latest post and work backwards but it's a bit awkward and unnatural.
Is there a chance this option could be implemented?

Genuine question, what type of threads would you find that helpful on? Maybe ones offering codes/up to date info?
Most posts would read very weirdly if read in reverse.0 -

I'd suggest you have the time settings wrong on the forum, maybe not set up right for daylight savings. The time reads as 2.46pm to me. Check the settings.
Profile - settings - edit options - scroll to time options.0 -
And here's the kicker ... this thread should be in The Site Feedback Board.0

to read the oldest posts first you just go to page 1 and work your way through the rest0

If most other forums have that option, Ive never seen or used it. Why would you want to read something backwards?0

Doesn't make sense to read a post backwards ? It's like starting a book at the last page ! Surely it's natural to start at page one ?0

Katrina : On threads I've been following, why would I want/need to scroll though scores of pages of old posts I've already seen? I want to jump straight to the latest, especially when I get an email that someone has replied. Example - on another forum I've just got a reply to a query I posted 9 months ago!
Katrina : Crikey, didn't realise the forum doesn't know the right time. It's a UK forum isn't it?
DoaM : Ah! Thought it might be wrong so might try again.
baza : I said I wanted to see newest first, not the oldest, didn't I?
iammumtoo : As I said above, 'cos I've already seen all the old posts.0 -
meer53 : I guess you don't use bookmarks then? When you pick up again a book you have been reading you start all over from page one !0
