My 15 yr old son scammed and ripped off. Any advice?
Hi. Not sure if this is the correct board so, please move if not. My son has recently been scammed to the tune of £75 by a guy claiming to sell his iphone. As a 15yr old, my son thought he was completely capable of making this deal but as he freely admits now, he wasn't/isn't. After seeing the ad on Gumtree, he had agreed…

Morrisons overcharging
Paid two visits to my local Morrisons today and both times was overcharged on items. It used to be that if this happened the store not only gave you your money back but gave you the product too.....good old days.

Vent: Why does nobody phone back when they say they will?
In this instance ... insurance company. Phoned them at 1pm, they said they'd check and call me straight back. Phoned them at 4pm, they had no news but that they had 'diarised' a courtesy call at 5pm regardless. It's now 6:30pm, no courtesy call. Why do they bother?

Idiot in the cinema!
Okay, that's a little harsh, maybe just annoying. Went to see a film earlier today, quiet showing, not many people about. Ah good, no issues. Just as the film is about to start, an oldish man with a backpack and several bags comes into the cinema, sits down near me and proceeds to fidget and root around with wrappers for…

Mark bushkes aka magic bean studio problems :-(
I purchased a deal through Groupon £20 for a fairytale photo shoot (fairytale shoot) by Mark Bushkes aka Magic Bean Studio.Which also included a 9" x 6" photo. The shoot went well, the photographer did not have much of a rapport with children he was a little awkward but seemed polite enough. My 4 year old found the whole…

Furniture123 in liquidation
Just a heads up - I received an email from one of the affiliate networks advising me that Furniture123's affiliate programme was closing as the company had gone into liquidation. Their website is still up, but if you try to order anything the checkout doesn't work.

Yodel - bunch of c***s
No doubt there has probably been complaints about them on here before but I am baffled as to how they are still in business. I have been waiting for a Delivery since last week and having checked the tracking information they sent me I looked it up to see that they apparently tried to deliver on the 12th but nobody was home…

John Lewis pricematch rejected on CPW Samsung Tab.
(If this is not posted in the right place, let me know and I will set about the act of self flagellation) I've been keeping an eye on the CPW site for the Samsung Tab 2 at £195, up until yesterday the price was still £195, however, John Lewis are refusing to price match saying the offer ended 15th December. Did anyone get…

Compare the Market, really ?
May be old hat, but. Having filled all details and got a screen full of prices for home and contents insurance, I plumbed for the cheapest listed. This was the only offer that came under my renewal with exsisting company, but worth having I thought. Anyway, went through the screens and contacted supplier to then see the…

Praise for Santander!!
NO praise - see later post! Yes really! On advice from another bank I went to my local branch of Santander to get help with a problem. Now without going into details I had found a cheque from them which is now over 2 years old and made out to my trading name from when I was self employed. I explained it was entirely my…

Praise for Tyrewise, Kirkby, Liverpool
2 years ago the Tyres on my Volvo XC90 were getting low but had a bit of life left in them. Base on the high cost of the tyres I wanted to get full (legal) wear out of them. I got a puncture and went to Kwikfit near work. they refused to repair it saying it would be "unethical" to do so, they would only sell me a new one…

PRAISE - For O2 Broadband
I get O2 Broadband for half price, £7.50per month as I have an O2 mobile phone account. I have telephoned their helpline a couple of times, the people at O2 are Very Helpful, which is refreshing these days, the problem was sorted out quickly. The O2 Helpline is a Freephone 0800 number, not an expensive premium rate number.…

Vent: Very/collect+ Problems, am I free of them?
Been with Very for around 3 years, no problems then I ordered some boots in Sept from the online website to be collected from the local shop via collect+ and was too ill to get them a week later, so emailed to notify and was assured that they would be returned by the shop automatically and I would not be charged. Thing was…

Vent - Tesco club card vouchers
Just a vent! Tried to use some tesco club vouchers online last night. The website crashed after I entered my payment details and the message "sorry unexpected error". Tried to order again today and I couldn't use my vouchers as they had become stuck in a reserved state. I thought that was fair enough. However although…

Praise for Boots the Chemist!
I visited for the first time the 'new' Boots outlet in Dundee's Kingsway retail park and the staff were lovely! It's not often that you come across good old fashioned customer service these days but every member of staff I came across were so polite and helpful. One girl in particular who I asked about Lady Gaga perfume…

Advice Needed on Nightmare with Dreams
Hi, I'm currently going through what unfortunately seems to be a run-of-the-mill experience with Dreams Beds. To cut a long story short, the bed was not delivered when it supposed to be, twice, when it was delivered it was broken and three months later here we are with a broken bed that we cannot use, and only the word of…
