2 years ago the Tyres on my Volvo XC90 were getting low but had a bit of life left in them. Base on the high cost of the tyres I wanted to get full (legal) wear out of them.
I got a puncture and went to Kwikfit near work. they refused to repair it saying it would be "unethical" to do so, they would only sell me a new one even though the tyre would still be legal. I told them to put the spare back on.
Went to see independant dealer Tyrewise who I had been to in the past. They told me there was no issue repairing it although it would need replacing in a few thousand miles, charged me £15. Went back to them 2 months later and they replaced it as they were cheaper than Kwikfit.
Thought this was good but maybe a one off. Then last week my father in law got a tack in his BMW 3 series run flats. THe dealer said you can't repair run flats and another told him you can't repair run flats and your rear tyres need to be replaced as well.
Went to Tyrewise who repaired the run flat (not issue for a small tack) and told him he had a while to go for the rears, it was typical BMW wear. They then quoted £20 per tyre less than the previous quote.
Summary of my experience was that they are competitvely priced and more importantly you can trust them. Unlike so many businesses (especially in this line of work) who are out for the quick buck this business takes the view, do the right thing by the customer and they will keep coming back to you.
