TV Aerial engineer praise
I'm quick enough to complain, so thought I'd post some praise. My mum had to call an engineer to establish why her bedroom TV couldn't get BBC on freeview. I had tried but failed to fix this. Called Glenn Martin Aerials http://gmaerials.co.uk/#/welcome/4534769848 who tested the existing aerial and said it was good, except…

fantastic local shop Porters Dry Cleaners Leek
I meant to post this a while back. When my DD moved she found that the wedding dress she had stored underneath her bed had been affected by a leak from the next door bathroom; the dress had mold and mildew on it, she was very upset and told us to throw it away. We huddled it outside and put it in the boot of our car. Took…

Dorothy Perkins and Haglund's Heel
I bought a pair of boots back in October - lushhhh lovely boots, at around £50 with student discount - and wore them all the time. I loved them!! But about 2 months ago I began getting lumps on the back of my heels. So, I stopped wearing them and bought some comfy converse whilst the bumps went down. I went to the doctor…

'Too strong' painkillers on sale
Thousands of packs of an over-the-counter painkiller could have higher-strength tablets that are only available on prescription inside, a Government health watchdog warned today. Some packs in a 40,000-strong batch of co-codamol 8mg/500mg strength tablets manufactured by Wockhardt UK Ltd have been found to contain the…

Royal Mail: "Computer says No"!
Hi I scheduled a redelivery of a packet to my local post office via the Royal Mail website and printed out the online confirmation. I went to pick it up today, but it wasn't there. I tried calling the local sorting office but at the end of endless rings I was asked to key in my security number??, and was promptly cut off!!…

Game - Praise for Staff Member
Hi All Now I do like a good moan, but also like to praise people when it's due. Reading about Game going into administration I went to my local store (won't name it as it will make the employee identifiable and don't want to get her into trouble) to see how much was on a gift card I had and whether I could use my reward…

Double Take Studios in Adminstration
My husband and I had photos done at Double Take Studios in London. We loved all the pictures so bought them all and also bought a package where we could have 2 more sessions. The cost was somewhere in the region of £3-£4K so we took out a loan for it where we are paying £100 a month. Obivously now they are in…

Topcashback - ripped off by the AA!
Took out both car insurance and breakdown cover last year, expecting it to be payable in January (total 76GBP of cashback). It's the end of March, still no cashback, just wanted to warn you all - think twice before taking insurance/ breakdown cover with this retailer.

MyLoans.com
Myloan.com is misleading and takes £69.99 out of your account without proper warning or authorisation. The whole website is misleading, especially when it comes to how and when they take their one off fee, which is ASAP out of your account before they provide any sort of service or give proper notification. There are pages…

Very poor customer service
Check how much ASDA charge to your bank and watch out for unauthorised transactions from them. My partner, Helen and I were shopping at ASDA this morning to pick up a few bits, not having much in the way of funds to do a full shop and having run out of food. Prior to going into ASDA, we checked the balance in her bank…

VENT - Sainsburys Pharmacy
Bit of a long story but stick with me! My mum is on home dialysis. She has a few side effects of her major kidney disease, one being chronic headaches. These headaches aren't your normal mild pain but full on migrane type pain. She has even been admitted to hospital with these headaches, so no exaggeration on how bad they…
