Agreeed. I always work on the theory that TV adverts cost a shedload of money and then some. Price comparison sites get a commission from the insurance sites, but the cost of the adverts must be taken into consideration so less discount will be passed on me as the customer.
Which is why I use DL, Aviva and the like.
I'm still amused by the confused.com making a fuss over 1000 nectar points, or £5 in real money.

I had a similar problem insuring my car last year, but the price difference was in the £200 region :eek:0
