Spam text messages

I have received several spam text messages from various places including www.needaloan.info continuously offering loans, ppi claims etc

I have noticed on the bottom of the needaloan.info website it says you can register your mobile number at www.txtstop.co.uk ??? Does anyone know if this stop service is genuine? Or just another scam to get genuine phone numbers?

    If you want to register your number, use the Telephone Preference Service, link here.

    Stay away from anything else.

    The TPS does not prevent marketing SMS, only voice calls.

    True, true. My apologies. I still think the txtstop.co.uk site looks incredibly dodgy though.

    Best thing to do with spam texts is to just delete them. DON'T respond; it just shows your number is active and you'll get even more.
