Wii BBC iplayer channel impressive
This went live today and I just tried it out by watching an hour long episode of James May's Toy Stories. Excellent quality and no slow down even though it was peak time (roughly 18:30-19:30). The BBC said the Wii would get an iplayer channel before Christmas and they delivered. Great job BBC and Nintendo!

People who think they're saving money when they aren't
Well as the title suggests some people think they are saving money on things but until they think about it they aren't. A prime example of this today is my cousin who like most of us wants to buy things at the cheapest possible price, even if it just saves a few pennies here and there, it all mounts up in the end. Anyway…

Missed call from 01865 713600
I had been expecting a couple of business calls, and the phone rang but I didn't get it quickly (three rings), so I called back the missed number. The young lady who answered asked if I'd had a missed call and said they were a research agency and they wanted to talk to me. I told her I didn't want to talk to them and to…

VENT - Experian Credit Expert
About 10 months ago I joined for the tree trial, got no pin, two months later after they took £6.99 from my account I phoned to complain. They refunded me, I just noticed they are STILL taking £6.99 from my account - so I phoned again. I was told that because I had let this go on for over 8 months that I was not entitled…

Praise for Nationwide Auto Centre
Thought I would post something nice about them as they seem to usually get nothing but slated. Booked my car in for an MOT online last week as there was an advert on Google for £27 MOT's. Took it in today expecting it to fail after reading peoples messages and reviews on here but it passed without a problem. From booking…

Faulty mobile?
I've had my C510 for about 2 or 3 months now, and it battery life was ace. I've only ever charged it when the "low battery" message is displayed. However, over the past two weeks, the battery life has plummeted. I charged the phone up over night from saturday to sunday. This morning when I woke up, the phone was dead. The…

The Range - don't buy your fireworks from them!
...and if you do don't expect any decent customer service. I have complained because after spending over £70 on fireworks, I expected them to be quite good. We were very dissapointed - they were pathetic. The Range have told me that because the fireworks are no longer 'in my posession' there is nothing they can do  I…

Courier spoils a surprise
I ordered an ipod direct from Apple uk at the weekend - as it was for my husband's Christmas and to be a surprise I arranged for it to be delivered to my neighbour instead of me. The courier came today - got a little lost on the way to my neighbours(we live in a rural area so there are no streets or house numbers) and…

Health and Safety gone mad!!!
Have just come back from a day out with my mother which was nearly spoiled by a stupid rule at a Costa Coffee Franchise at a Tesco Store. After queuing for a short while I asked for a pot of tea and a pot of hot water to be told I could not have a pot of hot water. On asking why I was told it was something to do…

Is Anyone Else Struck By The Irony?
I am not usually backwards in coming forwards when I have a complaint to make. I can rattle off a letter in minutes, and rarely fail to do so if I feel it is warranted. However, given this, I also make it my policy to write to companies complimenting them on good service etc. Fair's fair, and if I'm quick enough to moan, I…

Specsavers rubbish varifocal specs
Have had varifocal specs for several years so well used to wearing them. Paid £270 just to replace lenses (in current frame) for the best Pentax custom made ones from Specsavers - and got the narrowest 'range' of vision I've ever had! Expected some out of focus areas at the outer edges, normal with most varifocals and the…

The 'on behalf of the police' scam calls are happening again
Just had one at work asking for my boss, who insisted he had spoken to him last January, I explained there was no way he would have done cos he'd have had to get past me first. Said it was about crime prevention campaign. I asked him to send info via email or post and he said he could do but he'd have to speak to him at…

Black Taxis - not on, but stopping
Black cabbies pi55 me off when they drive around with their 'for hire' light out but still stopping to see where you want to go; if it's not on their way home they won't take you. [If a cab has it's for hire light on it HAS to take you to where you want to go within London, so they leave it fully off [as opposed to either…

Harveys
Was very pleased with the service from Harveys. Bought a new sofa on 9th September and was told up to 12 weeks delivery. Salesman handed me a leaflet about insurance, did not try to convince me to take it out in any way. Was telephoned a couple of weeks ago and given dates from 11th Nov for delivery, chose a Saturday…
