The Range - don't buy your fireworks from them!

...and if you do don't expect any decent customer service.

I have complained because after spending over £70 on fireworks, I expected them to be quite good. We were very dissapointed - they were pathetic.

The Range have told me that because the fireworks are no longer 'in my posession' there is nothing they can do

I would love to know how we could have known they were carp before letting them off

Yes I mentioned them before I wrote to them - having got the response I feel qualified now to say their customer service is bad as well as their fireworks.

Anyone buying any for New Years Eve could bear this in mind - I appreciate bonfire night has gone.
  • Fireworks should just be banned for public sale. Go to a public display instead.

As you've burnt all the evidence, it's a little difficult to take them back and complain. Anyway, just because you didn't like the display produced by the fireworks isnt grounds for a complaint under the Sale of Goods Act - perhaps if they failed to go off you might have a valid complaint.
"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"

Its not just about not liking them - they were pathetic. I have bought enough fireworks before to know what they should have been like for the price. They were advertised as noisy, they werent, they were advertised as spectacular, they werent and the rockets didnt even go as high as the building behind them.

Fair enough if The Range arent interested in my complaint, but I think it is only fair to warn others not to buy from there if they want fireworks.
  • So you're not happy with the Fireworks.

Rather than telling us where you bought them from why not TELL US THE BRAND?

    Thanks for the useful information.

We didnt want to go to a public display - there arent any free ones round here and we preferred to make use of the 3 acres of land where we were and have a bonfire, and club together and get fireworks of our own. Cheaper and more fun (if you don't buy your fireworks from The Range that is)

As far as I know they were made for The Range - this is also about The Range customer service.

No they shouldn't. Stay at home and let some off.

What's the relevant consumer law affecting these products?
