No idea if there is one, but then a decent company wouldnt need a law, they would just like to look after their customers.0 -

Indeed. But as you say, the Range don't seem to be looking after the customer - so it's possibly time you found out about said laws???0 -

I dont think there is one - as I have no proof, I do have a receipt, but dont have the product or the packaging - the items are not on sale any more (I dont think) , so I cannot prove what they advertised on the box either.
But if anyone can enlighten me to any law that does cover this, great!0 -
Fireworks should just be banned for public sale. Go to a public display instead.
i completly agree...they are dangerous and if you havent been properly trained then it can lead to serious accidents...i would rather pay to go to a public display, or not go.
but on the issue of the original post....it can be dissapointing but in fairness to the company..it is only your opinion...you cant bring them back...they werent there to see how they went off etc.
its like eating all of a burger in mcds going to the counter saying it didnt look like it did in the picture (having worked in mcds and had this complaint made to me, and they tried to demand a refund!
most people would say that is silly too.0 -

I can see your point, but it isnt really the same as saying a burger is not like it is in the picture. For a start you only pay 99p for a burger, not £72.
Its more like paying for a gourmet meal and getting a burger. The only difference in the case of the fireworks is that I now have no proof.0 -

Sorry - your post alone may have not put me out, it was the b1tchy comment below that made it not nice.
I made a post on 'Praise, Vent and Warnings' which I thought might be helpful for anyone buying fireworks - I would have found it helpful had I read it before buying mine! and I am just pretty amazed that people can be bothered to answer with things such as 'go to a public display' or 'its like complaining that your burger doesn't look like the picture'
I know everyone has a different opinion, but I really dont understand why people post such catty comments - whats the point, apart from to be rude?0
