I got a bit carried away in Asda.....
....and bought the biggest beef silverside beef joint you can imagine. I roasted it and we've had leftover beef with mash and veg for 2 nights in a row now. I reckon there's still half of it left. Anyone got any suggestions what I could do differently so that I don't have to eat the same meal 4 nights running?!! Thanks zc

Would someone please help me make a vegetarian lasagne
My son's lovely girlfriend is coming for dinner this week. She's a vegetarian for ethical reasons. We do eat a couple of veggie meals a week but apparently one of her favourite meals is veggie lasagne. It's something I've never made before, but I'd like to make one for her. Is it possible that I could make a vegetarian…

OS ways to dry clothes....I have no central heating!
Due to some rotten weather here, my clothes can not stay dry :( I don't have a tumble dryer, and the only heating I have in this house is two gas fires...the one in the lounge is awaiting service so I can't use. The other does the job, but does not help with the dog running in and out? Is there anyway I can dry a lot of…

OS ways to warm room
Hi all :) We live in a 3 bed rental property with the back of the house double glazed but the front single glazed. Our front room is devilishly cold in winter and even when we have the heating on, there is still a draft that comes in through the (very badly decayed) windows. Our landlord refuses to upgrade the rotten…

Prolonging the life of fresh berries
If you buy any fresh berries on a 'reduced special offer'; you can prolong their life by rinsing in vinegar. Prepare a mixture one part white or cider/apple vinegar to ten parts water, rinse the berries in it for a couple of minutes, then drain. This apparently kills all the bateria spores and will allow you to store the…
