Easy simple scone recipe please!

Hi - wanna make some scones today so anyone with a basic,good and tested recipe, quick, post it before i lose the inclination LOL :j BTW - sweet scones Not those horrid cheesy or savoury ones pleeeeease :D
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

    if you look on the indexed collections sticky thread, you will find a recipe in there and some others to inspire you along the way. I am making scones today too, so happy baking

    8oz Sr flour.
    1-2 oz marg.
    pinch salt.

    Make as breadcrumbs then add in about 2 oz sugar. maybe some chopped cherries and an ounce or 2 of coconut? That's the fave in our house.
    Use milk to mix to a slightly sticky dough. Just bring it together, don't knead it!
    Turn out onto floured surface and cut out rounds. Brush with beaten egg/ milk if you can be bothered. Onto floured tray.
    Bake at gas 7-8 for about 10 mins.

    Don't cut in half when warm, should be able to pull in half easily. If you cut them, they tend to seem doughy in the middle.
