Easiest Scones ever!

I can take no glory for this recipe, it came from a recipe forum on a downsizing site. However I tried it today, and felt that everyone should have the opportunity to give it a go. It worked like a dream, and I am no cook, as my family and students will vouch for......
Scones
3 and a half Cups self raising flour
1 Cup double cream
1 Cup Lemonade (not diet - I bought a small bottle for about 30p)
Mix all three ingredients in a bowl until it binds, and turn out on floured board and roll out and cut with a glass or cutter.
Bake at 180 degrees until turning golden brown (Mine took approx 15 to 17 mins).
They were utterly delicious and not too sweet so we tried them with butter and jam, and butter and cheese......I imagine you could add fruit or cheese for variety but as yet I have not been brave enough!
See what you all think !

Did the scones rise?0

I expect you could use half plain yoghourt and half cream to cut down on the cals. Might try this over Xmas.0

Which site did it come from?0

Yes, they rose beautifully, and the mixture made 15 large scones, and next time I would half the mixture. I imagine you could use yogurt or creme fraiche perhaps, but I can tell you they were so good they went in 2 hours spread over a fair number of pupils coming to the house ! My calorie intake was modest as I only got 1! Give them a try, and when you mix up the ingredients the liquid fizzes!
It came from the Downsizer website from some while ago. That is why I take no credit - there were some other great recipes but this one seemed very interesting and SO easy!

Well I have all the ingredients, now I need help with converting the cups. Can anyone give help with the UK equivalents please? My best guess is
490 g self raising flour
225 ml double cream
225 ml lemonade
