I don't think a 'cup' size actually matters, as long as you use the same sized measure.

  • I used the American cups, I think if you used a teacup it would make 100's as rhet are larger than the measuring cups. - I made another batch tonight and once more all 16 of them went in 2 minutes at a rehearsal - I got 1 ! I do hope they worked for you and that you liked them organic wanabe!
    Merry Christmas

Well I have all the ingredients, now I need help with converting the cups. Can anyone give help with the UK equivalents please? My best guess is
    490 g self raising flour
    225 ml double cream
    225 ml lemonade

I'm determined to reach Domestic Godess status this Christmas!

Oh - I've just noticed I've reached 2 stars. How Christmassy is that - maybe I can forget Domestic Godess and settle for Angel!

1 cup is 8 fl oz or 227g (225g is easier!)

Have made these tonight, used a small mug as a measure and they turned out brilliant, and I usually have no luck with scones. Thanks for posting original recipe, will certainly be using this one again!

    Me too :D

They are ridiculously easy. I might add some sugar next time though as I prefer them a bit sweeter - but still very nice
The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese
  • I am so glad you liked them, I could not believe how easy they were, and I imagine you could add anything from cheese to dried fruit to the recipe and it would still take no time at all, and work really well! Glad someone benefitted!
