I made soup in slow cooker and left breadmaker on, just come back and I think the machine has broken. its making a whirlling noise and nothing else has happened.
It is rather old, about 10yrs now. Just had a Google and can't believe how many there are now and how expensive they are.
Any ideas for me on buying a good reliable , reasonably cheap one?
I know loads of people on here use them, does anyone pop up time & time again for being good?
Thanks in advance

I thought mine was broken a while back but I'd just forgotten to put the paddle on! It's not that with yours is it?
Edit: Mine is a Morphy Richards Fastbake Cooltouch... I love it, it's never let me down (except when I forgot to put salt in once!!)
Edit edit: If yours is really knackered, there's one like mine going cheap on ebay second hand with 2 days to go, if you're near enough to pick it up - I bet lots of people will have suggestions for others though and you might possibly even find a freecycle one.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

I was just going to say make sure your paddle is in properly
If it's making whirring noises then don't give up on it yet

I forgot the paddle once on my Panny, it's easily done.
Can you rescue your bread, maybe do it in the oven.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

If you do need a new one, look at car boot sales. I bought one recently for £2 in perfect working order, in fact it looks like it had only been used once or twice!0

True MSE, I rescued the bread and thought the paddle was in but I'll give it another go to make sure.
Thank you
