Hi all. I got a shiny new breadmaker, Morphy Richards Fastbake (I think) for Christmas. I have tried a number of different bread recipes as per the instruction book and my favourite is the french bread recipe, this is the only one where I cannot taste the salt or sugar in the bread. However, because the bread is sooooo…

Bile stain
Some months ago, my cat was sick on an oatmeal-coloured carpet. At the time, I used some carpet cleaner designed for pet problems. It didn't work, and I have a yellowy stain on the carpet. I didn't really want to go from shop to shop buying expensive cleaning products in the hopes that eventually one of them will work, so…

Using up sugar
Hi, Hoping someone can come up with a use for 2 x 500g boxes of Dark Muscovado sugar, which I unearthed at the back of a cupboard this morning. They are brick hard, so would maybe need to use a hammer and chisel to break up, but I can't just throw them out. Thanks

My house isn't particularly damp and they don't smell after drying (I line dry or put them on an airer in a ventilated room) and I also have a dehumidifier. I just can't find a way to get them smelling fresh short…

Calendars for menu planning etc.
OK so like practically everyone one of my New Years resolutions is to menu plan more effectively this year rather than to have the 5 o'clock moment when I stand in front of the cupboard scratching my head as to what I am going to cook this evening. In an attempt to do this I needed and calendar or planner but I am blowed…
