OK so like practically everyone one of my New Years resolutions is to menu plan more effectively this year rather than to have the 5 o'clock moment when I stand in front of the cupboard scratching my head as to what I am going to cook this evening.
In an attempt to do this I needed and calendar or planner but I am blowed if I am paying an average of a fiver for one! I saw this post on a blog I follow and though I would share it here.
Calendars for FREE!
Anyone got any other printables they want to share?

We use the computer and Outlook with all the diary, memo and journal facilities. I find it really useful as every thing is always in obne place, It is so easy to move things around etc. Well worth the free course at the local college.Hello Payday! How are. . Hey where are you going? . . Please don't walk out on me.
. Come back!0 -
We use a white board. One side has the days and we write what we are having each day. The other side is the shopping list of stuff we run out of - store cupboard ingredients like ketchup, curry powder etc.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

I have an organised mum diary that has space for menu planning. But probably not what you are looking for! They are currently on sale for a fiver from their website.
I also made a 5 week monthly planner which I use to plan what I order for my monthly online tesco shop. I based it on the netmums 4 week one here but as I get paid on the 15th my meal planning "month" often goes into 5 calendar weeks. Then weekly, I finalise what we are eating that week, (I often swap things around depending on what we are doing) write a shopping list of fresh stuff and anything else we might have run out of, and do a small weekly top up shop.0 -
Funny you should mention the Organised Mum one - I used to work at the same place as Sarah Sadler's OH and helped trial the very very very draft version way back when my eldest (now 9) was a newborn. It is very good;) but not what I want for now ...0
