Unfortunately I doubt it will be as easy to learn as you tube and…

Filthy, stinky leather + suede gardening gloves
My gardening gloves have gotten rather grotty and it's time they were given a good clean... but I don't know how. They're leather and suede and need cleaning both inside and out. Can I put them in the washing machine or will the suede get wrecked? Help please.

Washing a 'dry clean only' microfibre mattress topper
Will it be ok to put it in the wash? Or will the microfibre go all lumpy? Its one of these ones I'd obviously rather wash it than shell out almost the price of a new one to have it dry cleaned, :p It will fit in the machine ok, so thats not a problem. Why would it be dry clean only? Any ideas??

What one bottle of spirit should I buy for Xmas cooking?
We don't drink as a rule, but I do use alcohol for cooking. I don't have any hard spirits in the house (beside a huge bottle of Smirnoff we were given a few years ago - still unopened). I will need to buy rum or brandy for my Xmas cake & pudding & mince pies & whatever other xmas treats I do. Are they all interchangeable?…

Some dressmaking questions
I am still quite 'new' at dressmaking, despite being able to sew since I was old enough to hold a needle I will confess than dressmaking is definately not my forte, although I have made a handful of basic garments 1. I made a dress out of a fine needlecord material and with the leftover fabric I made a simple a-line skirt…
