Malt Loaf
Hi I made a malt loaf using the Panasonic bread maker and their recipe but it wasn't at all like that squidgy malt loaf I remember eating, the small square loaves that came wrapped in wax paper. Has anyone got a recipe that gets nearer to this. Mine turned out to be an ordinary loaf that tasted mildly of malt, perfectly…

I think i probably know that the answer to this will be no :o but i thought i'd ask those much more experienced than myself! I've got looooads of pork on the freezer (joints and chops mainly), and they take so long to defrost, i was wondering whether i can put them in the slowcooker without defrosting first?

jazzing up some sponge cake...
I was experimenting and made a pear upside down cake at the weekend. It turned out quite boring (mainly down to me not putting enough pear in). There's only 2 of us and now its getting a bit dry and needs eating up. Any ideas for making it a bit more exciting? I've got milk/eggs/sugar/cocoa. No more pear though! Thanks!
