What is the Best Vinegar for Pickling
I've bought a huge jar of malt vinegar to pickle my beetroot in but its really strong. I can't eat the beetroot without wheezing from the v strong vinegar taste What have I done wrong?? Have I used the wrong vinegar?

Hi I'm moving house shortly and my mum has bee really kind and bought us some nice new towels and bedding as a moving present :) I was just wondering before I threw the old ones out whether old towels and sheets could be used for anything else? it seems wasteful and not very OS to just throw them away any ideas? hayley

I have made lentil soup for the first time and used red lentils from the packet. Only thing is I forgot to wash them before I added them to the soup ! Now curry sauce is expensive what's the alternative?
I used to get the Tesco/Asda curry sauces at 2p, 4p and 6p (whatever it was priced at that week ;) )and have it on chips as an inexpensive snack. It was also very nice with leftover veg.
