I'm trying to make something interesting that can be a nice packed lunch during the week. Food crisis - help with meal planning on limited stocks?
Hi all, I've got a bit of a challenge for anyone who's interested. I can't drive and it's now (at 7mo pregnant!) too far for me to walk to the supermarket (even the local shop is a mission!) especially in this heat. I don't have access to any money so can't shop online and the only way we are getting food in at the moment…

Jam/jelly making
I was simmering loganberries to make jelly and then put them in the muslin so that the juice could drip through. I read now that I was supposed to simmer them in some water! can I add some water at this stage just before I add the sugar to dissolve, or would that not work?

OK, for a laugh - my shopping list(s)
First: I am not posting this as a request for how I could spend less. I could spend less if I really wanted to. I'm fine with what I spend, as it is less than it used to be. I just thought that there are quite a few of us who cook OS, but aren't on such a tight budget, and I was curious to see where the money goes on these…
