Cooking oil has become very expensive recently, so I wanted to let everyone know about cooking oils in Waitrose as they're significantly cheaper than the big three supermarkets right now.
Sunflower oil:
Sainsburys £1.56 a litre (3 litre bottle)
Tesco and Asda £1.32 a litre (3 litre bottle)
Waitrose £1.13 a litre (2 litre bottle)
Vegetable oil:
Tesco, Sainsburys and Asda £1.16 a litre (3 litre bottle)
Waitrose 97p a litre (2 litre bottle)
These differences might seem modest per litre, but when you look at them as a cost per three litre bottle, it makes a big difference. You can get four litres of sunflower oil in Waitrose for less money than three in Sainsburys.

I think it was Denise Fowler who posted yesterday, that Icelands are doing 3 litres of oil for less than £3 (can't remember the exact price, £2.80 odd i think).

Edited to say, i just checked and it's £2.75 for 3 litres of vegetable oil.0 -
Thanks Ben84 and jackk! We've got to go supermarket shopping this morning, so I think we'll go to Waitrose instead of Sainsbury's. We were there a couple of weeks ago but didn't need oil at the time.0
