Simple meals are the best
I think, having read lots of the threads here. Keep it simple seems to be the theme regarding recipes. I whole heartedly agree by the way. Most contributors seem to make tasty meals with just a few standard ingredients. Look through any glossy supplement and find many an exotic sounding dish which has about 25 different…

But the mixing blade was still embedded inside it! :o Now I've got a shiny expensive breadmaker that is sitting useless, because I have no mixing blade. Any idea if/where I could get a replacement blade? It's a Panasonic SD254.

Also any ideas for 2 tubs of mascarpone that need using in the next day or two? I've not used it before.

The OH and I went to do our weekly supermarket shop yesterday. Sainsbury’s as usual (it happens to be the nearest large supermarket – before we moved we used to use Tesco). I can't eat asparagus because I have gout (no comments please, it’s a genetic kidney fault not excessive red wine or whatever) so I sighed to myself…

Where did I go wrong?
Today I made a chicken and sweetcorn soup, using chicken stock. I've not done it before and, although it was very nice, there was a thin layer of grease on top of the soup when it was in the bowl. I did strain it off both before I added the stock to the sweetcorn and after blending. The only thing I can think of is that I…
