I have used this in a sort of "farmers fry" very similar to a corned beef hash.

Chop the tinned ham and pork into cubes, chop a medium onion into cubes and some pre boiled potatoes into cubes. Heat a little fat in a frying pan and fry the onion until translucsent. Add the chopped pork and fry for a couple of minutes, then the chopped potatoes go in. Keep frying and stirring about a bit until everything goes sort of brown at the edges. Lovely served topped with a freshly fried egg.

This is the very basic recipe but almost anything else can be added, thus using up any leftovers, for example I have added mushrooms, leftover cooked veg and even chopped up leftover yorkshire puddings. You can't go wrong really so long as everything is fried until there are lots of scrummy brown crispy bits.

I've used chopped ham and pork as a staright swap for corned beef in a hash before, and also done them 50/50.

    Both worked for me :)

    YMMV.
