Hi
Can anyone recommend a good cookery books on making birthday cakes for children's parties? (you know, the ones that look really fantastic).
My twin DD's are 5 in July and I want to make them something special.
I have seen a few books but only want to buy one that will last over the years. Any suggestions?

My sister and DD both have The Australian Womens Weekly Kids' Party Cakes. Both love it0

If you want te be really moneysaving try your local library of ebay you may even get a book from a fellow freecycler to borrow there's no point in buying one if you wont use it ofter or try BBC website0

I agree. I've got this book - I bought it in Waterstones. I think it's this one:

but I can't put my hands on it right now.
I also picked up Quick and Easy Party Cakes by Joanna Farrow & Sara Lewis:

in Tesco for £4. These ones are very easy and very effective and include 'grown-up' cakes as well.some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
Homebase has some cookbooks and i saw that one was for birthday cakes x0

You're absolutely right! I'm such a book addict, I forget about the library, even though I'm there every couple of weeks. My library is great and they get the books in if they arent in stock (Had to wait a while for Martin's book, but I got there in the end)
