Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 21/5/8 This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning.
Woke up early today. Seem to have a squiffy stomach that was impolite to my OH in the bed. Ahem. :embarasse
Anyway work today. It has been really busy of late and so the days have been flying by. The weather has been nice too, so that has given me chance to cut all the grass and see the vegetables grow some.
The new chickens are all laying now and I have eggs everywhere. I need to build up my customer base again. I have loads of small eggs as they are just starting, so I need to shift them too.
The hatching eggs are only 3 days away from hatching. All have strong heartbeats (I have a machine that can check that), so hopefully we will get a good hatch. 7 eggs were infertile, but the person who sold me the eggs has offered me free replacements so that is kind.
Everything else is ticking along.....Run to the Sun weekend at Newquay is coming up... Anyone coming?
Have a nice day..... Cheers

Morning N9EAV and all who follow!
Well, looks like a good start to the day weatherwise so I hope it stays that way, although it's a bit cool at the moment. I do hope we get to the part of summer that means it's warm from early on in the day! It seems to stay chilly for quite a while - mind you, I suppose it would if you get up at about 4am!
SMOKY - (((Hugs))) to you all.
MRS MIX - thinking about you.
(((Hugs))) to all who are in need of one or who just wants one.
CHURCHMOUSE - :hello: :hello: :hello:
Well, I have a busy day ahead of me today - mainly catching up on the housework. Downstairs got a good 'going over' yesterday but I need to do upstairs this morning; I also have some ironing to do and I want to get to the gym - of course, I could achieve all that if I didn't spend so long on here! Still, I have a day off from all the office work - at least until the postman arrives!
Dinner tonight is going to be pork chops, probably with roast pots and whatever veg I can find and I shall do Aussie's Impossible Pie for pud.
I usually collect DGS from school on Wednesday but that's been changed to tomorrow for this week - I've forgotten why - something to do with school cricket, I think!
Anyway, off to make DH's sandwiches so see you all later.

Morning N9eav, Mioliere, Dogrose & all who cross/follow,
Well it`s a lot warmer today so hopefully the warmer weather is here to stay. I remembered to put the bm on last night so the bread shortage in our house should be over and i plan to make tortillas later on today to make sandwiches with, they are always a nice change and i prefer them actually.
I still need to catch up with the cleaning and hopefully the next couple of days should sort that out - i can see the light at the end of the tunnel now as i have 5 days off coming up soon so i should be able to get lots of things done and also manage a bit of time to myself.
I`m finding that using the pc for longer periods these last couple of months i`m getting pains in some of my fingers and one of my wrists so i look forward to the time off for that to go away.
My friend texted me last night to say that her OH has left her, i`m really upset for her as he`s messed her about for years and i really don`t know why she`s put up with it for all this time, i`ll get to speak to her later and hopefully try to make her feel a bit better, it makes me so mad as she really dosen`t deserve this.
((((HUGS)))) for Smoky and also PenPin if you are arouns at all huge ((((HUGS)))) for you too.
Catch up with everyone later.
SD
Edited to say enjoy your day off Dogrose, if you can`t find anything to do i have plentyPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Moring all
Lovely day here and that chilly wind has dropped. Hugs to everyone this morning, have skimmed the thread and there seems to be a lot of people who need one.
Have no idea what to do today. Might go to the hospital library and use the services of our excellent librarian (also saves me using paper and ink at home but it's deisal to get there as it's 12 miles away.). Or could stay here and plod on with the usual: studying, some time in the allotment, a bit of housework when OH gets up ect. Will decide in a bit.
Off to look in the freezer for inspiration.
Have a good day all.

Good Morning All
Sunny but still chilly here.
Busy day, off to Tai Chi this morning, just remembered I need to take in something on a tea party theme - will have a look in the kitchen in a mo. Also have another hopi ear appointment this afternoon so that will be relaxing.
When at home have ironing, housework and paperwork to do. Want it all out of the way for the big match tonight.
Have a great day all.

Morning everyone,
Did some baking this morning. Bread, granola & a caramel cake. After morning tea I did some sewing. Finished the inner cover of another bean bag I'm making. I'll try and start on the outer cover tomorrow. I'm having DGS from 11.30am onwards and it's Mass in the morning so probably won't get much done. Have just come back from seeing DGS & XDIL now. She gave me a rubbishy magazine so will browse that in a minute.
Tea tonight is Spinach Pancakes with veggies and I have leftover dessert. I just typed that I hadn't had any word from BIL but the phone rang while I was typing. I talked to DSis. She's staying 2 nights in hospital and they are putting stents in tomorrow. She hasn't talked to the surgeon yet but there has been no talk of a bypass. He's due to make rounds soon. BIL will call me late tomorrow for another update. That's wonderful news. :T
Churchmouse Good luck in the football today with your beloved Chelsea. I'll look forward to waking up in the morning to your happy smile or not.
Sunnyday Hope you make your friend feel a bit better.
Meanmarie I hope you have a good flight. I'll pm you with my details if you want to meet up anytime. I promise I'll be on my best behaviour.
Hope you all have a lovely day and <hugs> not well. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Morning
Another lovely day here today, but work again. Had a lovely day yesterday looking after DGD, but she certainly has her Daddy's temper - I spent ages trying to get her to sleep, but she was determined to stay awake
I walked into the town with her, which took 25 minutes, mooched around the shops, and then walled back again. Then I went to SW and got weighed, and had lost 2 1/2 lbs, so all that walking must have done the trick and cancelled out all the holiday bacon sandwiches last week :j
Speaking of bacon sandwiches, anyone heard anything from Martyn since 'his Julie' arrived - guess he must be too busy to talk to us
Chicken something in the slow cooker for dinner, and then 'The Apprentice' later.
Have a good day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
