mioliere - thanks for the recipe, dont know whats for tea tonight yet, looks like that may be pudding sorted, any ideas what i can replace the coconut with? OH hates it with avengance.
Aussielass - its not too difficult to keep the colour, have to do a rebleach every 6 weeks to get rid of dark roots, but over the 20 odd years  i have had a range of colours but tend to stick to purples, pinks, reds....had red hair when i was got married and it was a lot longer than i have it now.
arkonite_babe - i really do feel for you, my DD wasnt quite as bad but she had her moments. i forget how many times we had slamming doors, shouting, screaming, most of it was over silly things like dirty pots in the bedroom, staying out till gone 10pm, not tidying her room, being in bed still at 8.30am when her friends were waiting for her to get up for school. Her father was of no help so me and Stepdad had to battle with it, I dont know how we got through it but we get on alot better now though she is 17 and has her own flat in town. Hope you get sorted soon.PinkPunkBird

Good morning all:D
Goodness, it's taken me forever to read the thread today. I've had 2 phonecalls, DH keeps stopping me to read out interesting tidbits:rolleyes: , and everytime I think I've got to the end, someone else posts:rotfl:
Well it's lovely and sunny here, and slowly warming up. I've to get everything done early today, so I can give CHELSEA my full attention tonight. Thanks for those wishing them luck,to Charlie's mum:D
Good luck to kyle for your ECG. Drink, girl, drink. I seem to recall we were nagging you about not drinking enough a few months ago
Hope you feel better soon, redruby.
Hugs to mrs mix, smoky, and the LOs.
Aussie, that's good news about DSis.:T
Haribo, what a night!! You should have just given up much earlier. You could have come on here and kept Aussie company.
To whoever it was who couldn't renew their road tax, that's because all documents have to be valid for the start date of the disc. It's to stop people not having up to date mots and insurance. Damn nuisance to the honest, but I suppose it does help with the dishonest, iyswim.
I'm going to make a couple of meat loafs today. As there's only DH and me, half of one will be plenty, so that's another 3 meals for the freezer. Food definitely lasts a lot longer, now those ravenous DSs have left:D
The phone has just gone again, but luckily it was for DH. But I do have to phone my Dad, and talk about nothing for an hour:rotfl: so I best get off.

Morning all!
Don't know where time seems to be going at the mo, think it's going to w**k, keeps interfering with my computer time! DW loaded, not full amazingly, dd1 obviously followed my instructions and did a load last night whilst I was working! BM going, am trying adding a spoonful of linseeds now, don't know whether it'll boost our brainpower, but I guess every little helps lol! WM not on yet, will have to do a rummage in ds's room for socks, not looking forward to it, so putting it off a bit longer. Not hoovered either, floors look remarkably clean today, no idea why?
Chicken curry for dinner tonight, did it in the slow cooker yesterday, so just need to sort out a pud and make some cakes for the lunchboxes for tomorrow now. Need to make up some naan breads as well, so they can rise before dinner.
Off to the garden centre with oh later, he's working from home today, and has strangely got into gardening - usually it's all left to me. Think he's just hoping that my little raised beds will magically feed us all for free! I have a feeling he's hoping they'll look like his grandads veg garden used to, hmm, about 1/100th of the size though! Which reminds me, must sort out beans, seedlings are doing really well, and saw some reduced bamboo trellis stuff in Mr T's that I think will be good for growing them up - kids pinch my canes every year to make wigwams!
Hope everyone has a lovely day, gonna try and catch up on what everyone has been doing now with another cup of coffee whilst I try to stay awake, note to self, fit in some sleep before w**k tonight! xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
hello again!
Catowen - well done on the weight loss:T and also on the comp wins!:T
Arkonite - sorry you are having a hard time with your DD - my DS is the same with schoolwork - didn't do any english homework once for 6 months and the school didn't tell me:mad: he has been miles behind in his course work and has told us and the school the most imaginative excuses about why he hasn't done it or where it is:rolleyes: they gave him a helper to try and organise himself but she has her work cut out! he is now doing his GCSEs and trying to get him to do revision is almost impossible! I hope things improve for you xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Alas my good news about DSis was premature. BIL just rang. He had left the hospital and was home. Their OS had gone up to the hospital tonight to visit his Mum and the surgeon had just left. Unfortunately she was told he would not  be doing the stents. Her arteries are too bad, but he will be doing the bypass.
BIL is calling the hospital tomorrow early and I gather she will be let out. I doubt if she will have it tomorrow. I'd say she'd have to wait a week/fortnight if she's lucky. Fancy telling her that  and then him coming in to say otherwise. She must have been devastated. She was so cheery and happy on the phone to me. So she's up there all alone now pondering the outcome.
oddjobkia I'll have whatever your on.
ab Maybe she's just a chip off the ol block.
kyle Hope all goes well and you must drink more water. It's not bad for you, you know.
Emmsie <hugs> get better soon.
Charlies Mum Are you sure the scales are correct?Well done.

phliping nora
phone calls i have just had 5 phone calls from diferent people all saying nothing ( well they did say something but I switched of)..
anyway I am getting two budgies very soon a freind of ours has rescued a husky (they already have one) and this new one is VERY intrested in the birds so we are having them instead ( I have been wanting more birds ever since my zebra finches died a few years ago)..hopefully my cats will ignore them just like they do the hamster!!( getting two more of those aswell)..
next on the list is some tropical fish..have wanted some since my teens ( darn thats far to long ago)...for those of you in DERBY there is an amazing display in the garden centre just of the A38 going north ( cant remember the name it is almost 2 years since me lived there)..
anyway with 4 kids 2 cats soon to be 3 hamsters 2 budgies The fish will have to wait a little longer....
plus the local wildlife that seem to relay on me for ALL their food ( one bluetit has now taken to knocking on the window if there is not any nuts outside!!!)..
As I said before Izzy will be 1 on sat so on sunday after church we (were) going to have a small party
but as my brother and his family happen to be down for the weekend for a wedding they are coming so thats 10 then my parents are coming that 12 and some freinds have said they are able to come so that will make it 16
a 50/50 spilt kids and adults...
( and knowing us and our church half of them will turn up)
so what was going to be a small family barbecue will end up as a full blown get together.THE SHABBY SHABBY FOUNDER0 -
