Nitha Yes they are quite yum. You make a white sauce & grated cheese and whack them in the oven for 20 mins. I'm waiting for DH to come home first to put them in the oven, but if he doesn't come home soon I will.
Haribo I don't have any lettuce unless in soup form  but I can give her lots of passionfruit. You might be able to have a nanny nap this arv.
Ruby I can imagine your canoe trips to be something like this.
Pink I forgot to mention the other day your hair is amazing. I've had green hair  & purple hair but never pink. Is it hard to keep up the colour? Suits you very much.
Well I haven't done anything startling since I last was on. Does preparing tea and making DH pack up count? ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Hi all - just sat down with coffee before I drag the hoover upstairs; sheets changed and washed ones on the line, towels in the WM and dough rising for the bread; have made a Hasty Pudding for pudding - was going to make Impossible Pie but, having decided to make the savoury version for dinner tomorrow and because the sweet version would do us today and tomorrow for pudding, I think Impossible Pie for both courses would be a little too much!
Pink - I just make the Impossible Pie as per Aussie's recipe and serve it with Greek yoghurt and some honey!
IMPOSSIBLE PIE
1 cup sugar
Half cup plain flour
Quarter teaspoon baking powder
Pinch salt (although I don't because I never add salt when I'm cooking)
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 eggs
Half teaspoon vanilla essence
1 cup milk
1 cup coconut
Mix sugar, flour, baking powder and salt (if using). Add butter, add beaten eggs and milk, then add coconut and vanilla essence. Pour into a greased pie dish and bake in mod oven (in my oven it's Gas mark 4) for 30-35 mins. It makes a pastry base, sauce in the middle and sponge on the top - all by itself.
Also, if you mix a couple of tablespoons of drinking chocolate powder in when you're mixing all the ingredients up, it's delicious!
REDRUBY - good luck with the MOT! My DH's car is going in for one tomorrow!
GIN - good to hear from you again; I hope you keep posting!
TWINK - thanks so much for the update on PenPin - she was so worried, wasn't she? If you hear from her again, please send her a big (((hug)))!
SUNNYDAY - (((Hugs))) to you
BETHEEBEE - Please stop working so hard! Your DH is right to ban you from any more work in the garden; I'm banning you, too! Good luck with the doctor; you can't go on this way, can you? (((Hugs))) to you and have a proper lazy day!
KYLE - good luck with the ECG.
MARTYN - too busy to post, eh?!! Nudge, nudge, wink, wink! Hope you and ya Julie are having a wonderful time!
Well, I'd better get on with this hoovering and then I'm going to the gym after sussing out the charity shop in the village - it's been closed for revamping and should have opened on Monday. It looked really enticing when I pressed my face up against the window yesterday!
Have a great day, everyone - hope you are all getting the sun today; it's great here!

morning again,
Well I dropped the car off at the garage, and was outside waiting for my friend to pick me up, when I came over all sick feeling and really hot, I thought I was going to collapse, so went into the office and lasted two minutes, and have now come home, I have been sick, and the other end (sorry if tmi) so am off to lay on the bed.
Good to hear from pen pin, glad every thing went well :T
Happy birthday to Miss Gin xx have a good day sweetheart
Aussie, the canoe photo was probably about right, but we will also be taking our little dog, we need to get her a life jacket, but I think she will love it, so can you find a suitable photo ?
arkonite_babe sorry to hear you are having trouble wih your dd, my friend at work went through something similar with her DD, not the food bit, but huge temper tantrums that went on and on, I heard her screaming once, and it was horrible, anyway they got advice from someone they know, who was a retired head teacher, who said that it was all about control, and that the little madam thought she was in charge of the family  , so friend and hubby sat her down and said that this had to stop, and that mum and dad were in charge, and that was the end of it, every time she had a temper, they completely ignored her and walked out of the room, slowly but surely it worked, they also took her favourite toy (a doll) away for 1/2 hour each time, which she hated, but it worked and she is now much calmer, just an idea but it might work with your little angelHow old is she by the way ?
well Im off to bed for a 'ninny' nap, see you all later xx0 -
Morning all
Weather is lovely and sunny here again but I am not feeling as sunny. Off to a job that I detest in a minute but have had no luck finding anything else  and am trying to contend with sinisitus. (feeling sorry for myself  )
On the bright side :j I only have 4 days at work this week (although one of those is Satruday afternoon) and then I am off for a week. Will need to think of things to keep my 4 year old occupied during half term! Am doing a car boot on Sunday so hopefully manage to make a bit of cash so that I can treat him one of the days.
Sorry for the bit of a moan. Hope everyone has a good day and the sun keeps shining :T

:hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: Hi everyone
No time to read the thread this morning as I am off to visit a friend who has roken her ankle but I am sure there are lots of people who could use a ((((((((( hug ))))))))) . Also congratulations to all those celebrating.
BBQ went well I love spending time with little ones - they are so optimistic. A real tonic.
Anyway lots of goodies to eat up so NSD for me.
I was really shocked in Asda yesterday. When we left for Spain last October the 3 kg bag of pasta was £1. When we came home at Christmas it was £2 and yesterday the same bag was £2.97 !!!!!!!! I feel so sorry for the youngsters trying to cope with getting on the housing market, petrol food etc.
Have a good day everyoneTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Arkonite Babe - I've posted the Impossible Pie in my latest post! What a worry your DD is; I do hope you can get to the bottom of it. My DS2 hated doing homework because he'd much rather be outside; in the end, we bribed him with extra pocket money! Not the best way to deal with the problem, I suppose, but I was so worried about him falling behind; it worked, anyway. He didn't like school very much but was completely different at college and excelled at everything.
See you all later.

charlies mum congatulations on your weight loss0 -
redruby - DD is 10, confiscating toys or grounding her have zero effect. We have also over the last few months been trying a treat and reward system to no avail, she just doesn't give 2 monkeys.
mioliere - for a savoury version of impossible pie what do I add or remove?
DD is sweet fixated, I'd even go as far as to say she's a sugar addict. We found lots of sweet and crisp wrappers hidden in her room along with the mouldy lunches _pale_ She'll quite happily munch a load of sweets and carp if she can instead of proper food. She has had problems with her teeth before and the dentists advice was to allow her a treat day one a week and get the sugar hit all over in one go.

Good morning everyone,
Been busy the last few days, so havnt had chance to post or read (including today) so huge ((HUGS)) to anyone who needs or wants one!!!!
Have had an extra LO here the last 3 days (hes on my lap at the moment!!) as his mum has been poorly, so hes been keeping me busy.
Hopefully i will be getting a new one in July, for 2 days a week so things are starting to look up finally - the 2 new ones before and after school start after half term so looking forward to that.
Not much happening really - i did win 2 bottles of wine on Sunday in the raffle, no champagne this year (it was Asti) but i did get that!!! On Monday i had a surprise delivery, and i had won £170 worth of power tools, then yesterday i received a BMX helmet, that DS has already claimed - hopefully im on a really lucky, winning streak (i would love to win a wii fit now!!).
Only other thing is that i lost another 2lb last week - so thats 6lb in 3 weeks, so really pleased with that, hope i can keep it up!!
OK, thats all from me, hope everyone has a lovely day,
:hello: Taplady
:hello: Shez
:hello: mrs mix - been thinking of you, hope things are ok xx
:hello: kyle and twink - hope you get on ok today at the doctors xx
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

My goodness - is your DD my son!!! He is exactly the same!!! Ive taken stuff away from him so often, and it still doesnt work - my best plan now, is if he (or his sister) are naughty, i ignore them completely, only talk to say 'dinner' 'bed' or 'school' it works a treat!!!
The amount of times ive found mouldy sandwiches in his room, i bagged them all up and went in and complained to the school - said how did they expect him to concentrate in the afternoons when he wasnt eating his lunch, but bringing it home and hiding it! (they have a policy of all rubbish comes home with them, then parents can see what they have or havnt eaten) He does a lot better now mind you.
Ive also had all the sweet wrappers hidden in different corners of his room, any sweets are now kept on top of all my units, so he cant get to them. Luckily he has lovely teeth, but it could be so different!!0
