Smokybabe, I noticed you are online, how are you? .x."Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age. Nothing does, except wrinkles. It's true, some wines improve with age. But only if the grapes were good in the first place." — Abigail Van Buren0

Well sitting in Manchester all I can hear are fireworks and car horns beeping..... some people must have more money than sense. Anyway, I baked this evening as the oven was going on for the pasta dish and I can't bear a spare shelf if the oven's on. Also made an Eve's pudding with a can of pie filling I had - I've had some with ice cream and it was like eating a doughnut
DH got a phone call off our GP this evening - his bloods have come back "interesting"
so he's having an urgent referral to a kidney specialist. GP asked us to bob up to see him and he explained that it's nothing to be worried about but is quite rare (think he was quite chuffed to have recognised it!! ). So he's given us the name of it - it's a very long one and ends in Syndrome - so we can "go on the internet and scare ourselves silly". He did notice my NHS workers pass - I didn't even realise I'd put it back on before we left the house
and so was quite forthcoming. DH's leg is quite swollen though - he had this the other week on the opposite leg and it's something to do with protein excretion. When he came in he had to stand in the bath whilst I hosed his leg down with the cold shower tap - little mental image for you all there!!! Anyway, he's finally said he's not going to work tomorrow - at last  and is taking his antibiotics. Right, I'm off now to kick him out of the bedroom as I want to go to bed and I think he's watched the football for long enough even if he is ill...... Ta Ta!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -
