Morning all,
Lol, Aussie, you are so naughty!!!!! Good news about your sister too
Last full day in the office today for me, so tidying up loose ends & handing over, although still got some related stuff to finish off at home over the weekend too. Just realised it's a BH weekend!
Hope those with days off manage to chill & enjoy them a bit as well - I have plenty of tidying up that needs doing if anyone's bored....
(((((smokey, penpin, mrsmix, candygirl, jayward)))))) and everyone else who is having a tough time.
Candygirl, it was me having a rant about the ungratefulness of my DD's last week, I think we all go through it & then blame ourselves...You could always hide her car keys & just look innocent when she can't find them...
I imagine Martyn's having fun with his "jooly" as it's been very quiet.....
TNG :kisses2: :happyhear :happylove Done anymore naked running recently?? Or has it been a bit chilly.....
N9eav, how exciting about the hatching - don't forget our pics
Hope everyone has a good dayLive your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
Morning all
Bad night last night with BIL, so I didn't go to bed til midnight, still he was putting on a brave face. He has an appointment with a mediation solicitor to day, & I know he's stressed about it, I think he sees it as more confirmation that his marriage is over, he & his ex have been together since school & he's finding it difficult to think of a life without her, even though their relationship has been very destructive. I've sent him off with a few drops of lavender oil on his collar, which I hope will help him feel calm.
Have a good day.
Hugs Hester

morning all,
Bright but cold here again, off to work today, but only three days then I am off for over a week :T :T
We are having fish cakes and oven chips for tea tonight, probably with peas, nice and easy, fish cakes are done and in the freezer.
Pen Pin, hope you are ok after your op xx
Smoky hugs to you xx
Aussie hope all goes well for your sister xx
Twink and Kyle, good luck with the ECG xx
Sunnyday, hope your fiend is ok xx
My car is in for the MOT today, fingers crossed it will be cheap, I went to get the road tax yesterday, but they would not issue it as the MOT runs out on the 30th May,so once the MOT is done, (fingers crossed
), I will then have to go back and get the tax.
If the MOT is not too expensive, we are going to look at bying a canoe, built for three, we are very out doorsey people anyway, and we have wanted to get one for ages, its something we can all do, OH and I will pay half each, so fingers crossed the MOT will be cheap
Well better get on, have good days all xx0 -

Another lovely day here today, but work again. Had a lovely day yesterday looking after DGD, but she certainly has her Daddy's temper - I spent ages trying to get her to sleep, but she was determined to stay awake
I walked into the town with her, which took 25 minutes, mooched around the shops, and then walled back again. Then I went to SW and got weighed, and had lost 2 1/2 lbs, so all that walking must have done the trick and cancelled out all the holiday bacon sandwiches last week :j
Speaking of bacon sandwiches, anyone heard anything from Martyn since 'his Julie' arrived - guess he must be too busy to talk to us
Chicken something in the slow cooker for dinner, and then 'The Apprentice' later.
Have a good day everyone x
Forgot to say, DH took his car in for an MOT yesterday, it is only 4 years old but failed on lots, it is going to cost £400  Mind you, he does about 40,000 miles a year
Ooops, quoted myself instead of edited, so looks like I'm rambling even more than usual. SorryYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Good morning, everyone  I'm now on holiday for 2 weeks :j :j :j
Another beautiful day, so after my run I'm starting in the garden. All too often I start jobs indoors, then run out of time to do much outside  I need to get into the polytunnel before it gets to hot.
DD is goind skating with scouts tonight, so I need to get their tea (curry, rice, naan, salad) rwady for straight after school. DS is off to his scouts, too, so DH and I have some holiday planning to discuss :T We're planning taking the tents to North Yorks for the weeekend, but will probably need to book as the forecast is good.:cool2:  :footie: Come On You Blues !! :footie:  :cool2:
for Churchie
Has anyone heard from Pen Pin
Hugs for Kyle and twink
Aussie and Charlie's mum:rotfl:

Aussie, glad the news about your sis is positive
Dogrose - enjoy your day off!

redruby - fingers crossed for your MOT
Today is wednesday - affectionately known as "rollicking day"(we have weekly progress chats with Dr Jeckyll and mine is supposed to be today - even though he rarely turns up it still provokes the fear) I have way too much to do to be disturbed today, but he's been hassling for a draft of a paper for ages and just keeps going on at me about it - and it's a monster - in it's current form it's nearly 200 pages. I wouldn't mind, but I'm not the slow link as I was waiting for data from other people. There is a little cafe down the road that has a wireless connection - so I was quite tempted to sign in then disappear and write there JK Rowling style for a bit. At least he wouldn't find me there. I think he's rowing this morning anyway, so it might not happen, but I think the lure of hot coffee and cake might break it for me
I was invigilating exams yesterday - and the student was so so lovely - I really hope she does well. It makes me really sad to see them so worried - in the past I've ended up teaching them yoga techniques and feeding them chocolate and rescue remedy to try and calm the down before the start of the paper as they are always so nervous.
OH had his last mediation appointment yesterday - again I can't ask him what was said, but he said it's going to have to go to court now so it obviously wasn't good. He also said when they were talking after the appointment that she mentioned she had been asking people I work with for information about me (I knmow she knows a few people I work with through church, but I don't get why) - that makes me a little bit nervous, glad I work in a high-security building and really glad I don't have a pet rabbit. :rotfl:
have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Good morning everyone,
Typed a long post and lost it so you'll have to make do with an abbreviated version.
(((hugs))) to those who need one - in particular Smoky, mrs mix, anniestar, Candygirl's DDad.
Hope Pen-Pin's op went well yesterday. I'm sure twink will keep us informed. Good luck to kyle for the ecg today too.
W**k today then home to finish painting the bathroom. Took a mad notion and started painting it yesterday. Almost finished now. DS and DD are both out until later so I'll get it finished while the house is quiet.
Have a wonderful Wednesday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Then after lunch I'm off to get my nails done - had a disaster and one broke so hopefully they can do something with it.
