Good morning :j Off for the sticky.....
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for xx (add date). This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Many thanks to all of you who said such nice things yesterday (and Aussie  :kisses3: ) :A
Another beautiful day :j I'm off to w*** later, then 2 weeks off (half term next week) :T :j
I could really do with the rest, and we're planning to go camping and hill walking for the BH weekend.
BM is about to ping, washing to go on the line, veggie shepherd's pie for tea. Hope to be home early so that I can get some gardening done :j
Arkonite - I had some disssolving stitches, that didn't IYSWIM
If they start to itch or heal over get yourself to the practice nurse - they'll have them out in no time.
Pam mix - hugs for you. How are things?
Pippa D - congratulations - any pics yet
VickyA - well done on the R4l :T
Stefejb :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Cycling whilst hungover will be now forever known as the Crab and Winkle Way
Donny - hope your dad's OK
Meanmarie - hope your DH is OK and that you can both travel
Have a great day, Penny. x

Morning Pen pen.
Iv not been around for a few days so hope every one is ok. Huge hugs to everyone.
Well iv had a busy old week, the first night out in years with dh with no kids was fantastic, we had a wonderful night, a few too many drinks and a takeaway on the way home. It really did us good and i felt like a grown up instead of the old woman who lives in a shoe for a few hours! LOL
DS1 & DS3 are back from Malta today, im just checking the flights to make sure they are not deleyed due to take off at 6.30am so ill be able to give them a huge cuddle at about dinnertime!!
I wont be around much this week again as have a footy presentation night for ds1 on fri evening (he doesnt even know yet) as his team have won sportsmanship team of the year from the leauge.
And on sat i am throwing a 60th birthday bbq weather permiting for my mother in law, so i am in a bit of a panic as have step sisters and brothers of dh that i never had to the house coming, so need to make a good impression!
Diet is still going well, iv lost 18.5lb now and am only 0.5lb off lossing 10% of my starting weight!
Hope you all have a wonderful week.
Off to check on my boys

Morning all,
Looks a bit murky here for a change. That's ok, I'm mainly in the officeLast 2 days of tidying up loose ends, filing, handing over, etc. Doing a final visit to a foster carer this morning.
(((((((smokey, mrsmix))))))) and everyone else who is coping with poorly parents/kids/relatives or other stresses in life.
Martyn, hope "ya Jooly" made it there ok - did you clean that toilet?!
Forgot yesterday to say well done VickyA on the RaceForLife, and also to anyone else who did/is doing it. I can't wait to finish placement just so I can have time to get myself going to the gym as I puff even going up 1 flight of stairs, and also either need to get healthy eating at home properlly or join WW. Well done DLB on your weight loss too!
Anyway, time for more tea, been awake since 5am, sent some emails re uni research etc, and it's still only 6.25!!

Morning all
METHERER sorry to hear about your job.
MEANMARIE hugs to you, hope everything is ok.
Hugs to anyone else who needs one.
Managed to get a few bargains last night in Asda but even their reduced stuff wasn't nearly as cheap as it usually is  . They've even put the price of loo roll up! Just read something on the BBC news website that in the UK we are going to suffer more than other EU countries because we have a food deficit. Why does that not suprise me when we've treated our farmers like s**t for years. Am so glad I've got the allotment now, even though I don't have as much time to spend on it as I would like at the moment.
Plans today include taking the cover of my mini greenhouse back to B&Q as the zip has gone. Also will make a quick trip to Lidl, water the allotment and fit in some studying. Have garden club at the school at 12.30 and then work at 1.30. Am really tired already!
Have a good day all.

Good Morning All
(((hugs))) to anyone who needs one, didnt catch up with the thread yesterday.
Jannyannie - dont know if my memory is wrong but didnt we have to pay subsidies to our farmers to stop farming some land - seem to remember grain mountains being on the news when I was younger. Apparantly it will save European tax payers if the subsidies are reduced - wonder if that will benefit us in the UK.
Still have comp probs - have man coming at around 11 to sort, AOL have denied thats is their fault and must be my router - just want it fixed.
Received gas bill yesterday  and after the massive electricity bill OH is now starting to take notice of me and turn things off so that is good. Have worked out with the fuel bills, council tax etc, it now costs over £4000 for the basics - very scary.
We are lucky in the way that we may be able to secure extra work but I really cant see that people on fixed incomes can do it.
Anyway enough of the depressing stuff, have got to nip into town this morning making sure back in time for pc man. Tiler is meant to be coming today but believe that when I see it. Other than that will be catching up on the paperwork I didnt do yesterday.
Think will be pork chops in a barbeque casserole for dinner.
Have a lovely day.

Morning All
Will have to get my a$$ in gear this morning as have a mamogram appointment for 8.40 a.m. Then will call at the Cancer Research shop with 4 bags of clothes DH & I sorted on Sunday, together with other knick knacks for them. Will then go onto the market, and as my fridge looks rather empty will get essentials only - I even wrote a shopping list yesterday, called at Asda for my prescription, and got the bits I couldn't get at Aldi/Market, and saw some punnets of frozen raspberries and blackberries at £1 each so got one of each to try, so didn't go far over. Will also then call at Lidl and maybe Matalan if the energy holds out.
Only 8 days left here before travelling again, but do have DS over the weekend, so that will clear up most spare food I am sure.
Dad appears to be OK thankfully atm, DB is going to have words with the home on Wednesday, I will get there as soon as I get rid of the lurgy, ABiotics seem to be kicking in. Thanks for all the good wishes there.
meanmarie - hope the test results are good, bet DH has suspicions, but why didn't he get them checked out before, for more reasons than just the flight! MEN!!((((hugs)))) also, Smoky, Pen-Pen (Good Luck for today) and everyone else.
AB - If stitches have become infected, you may need to have anti-biotics before they dare remove them, I Know!!! (ouch even the 15+ year old memory brings tears to my eyes).

Morning everyone
Lovely day planned today, as I am looking after DGD, and the weather is lovely so will put her in the pram and walk into the town and have a look for some bargains. Must remember i have a pram and not leave her in a shop somewhere
DLB you are doing so well with your slimming, you are putting me to shameI've been doing it for 3 months and only lost 12.5 lbs, but I have been down to our caravan twice and fallen off the diet completely, so can't really complain. Going for weigh in tonight, so will see what damage I did last week
Have a good day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
