Hi Candygirl - (((hugs))) to your Dad.
RedRuby - having read Splodge's post, I feel I must have come across as completely negative in my response to your friend whose son is moving to Australia. I'm glad Splodge has mentioned Skype and all the other ways of keeping in touch with someone who is far away; I only wish I had been as positive as her and she has actually gone through it! Well done, Splodge, for being so positive and I'm glad your son is happy there!

Hi Again
Sat here watching Countdown and recovering from shopping  :rotfl: :rotfl:
The Mamogram was as usual hurts at the time, tender for a short while after then OK. Sinisitus much impoved, its marvellous what A-B's do.
Fridge now looks like we live here again:T :T :T . Got some more of the organic fr eggs from the market £1.80 doz and 1 dox cracked ones for baking 50p doz. both that large the egg box has to be held together with a elastic band, sausages from the award winning butchers, Doncaster, Lincolnshire and Traditional Pork DH is rather partial to sausages if you haven't guessed. Fresh Veg/Fruit and then a trip to Lidl.
Thanks again for the good wishes, it was Dad btw DH & DS are fine, and don't have a DD. Glad your Dad's leg pain has eased CG. Mrs_M my DS was 11 when we lost his first grandparent, and he was given the choice, he wanted to go, but it was his choice. I know none of his grandparents would have forgiven him for putting their funeral before an exam, or wishes him to go if he did not wish. The relationship is about prior times not the funeral. I have told my DS not to go and see my Dad for the last 4 years, as my Dad doesn't know him and they had such a fantastic relationship I do not want the memories of him now to spoil his good memories. Aussie - sorry to hear your results though the treatment should make you feel better. I have to have blood tests when I get back to Spain as they found my Thyroid wrong and need a second one to make sure it is not a blip, and if not then I may be joining you. Nitha - tough they have to realise life changes. Rzl - hope Nelski is not leading you too far astray. Pen-Pin hope the op went well.
((((hugs))))) to you all above, Smoky,Jackie0, and everone else I've missed.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Haven't had time to read thread...hopefully later. Thanks for all the good wishes for OH...we had another ECG today, a trace thingy and consultation with cardiologist....basically one of chambers of heart is enlarged and he is now on aspirin, beta blocker and something for indigestion and 3 bottles of wine per week, which will be very interesting as his current consumption is 14 bottles! He is to try to cut down his 40 a day cigarettes too but the wine is more important for now...I am now considerably poorer as we had to go to private clinic to have everything done quickly.
Hugs to all in need

Hi Donny - glad the ABs are working! I must admit, having a mammogram is not my most favourite way of passing the time, but essential nonetheless!
MeanMarie - hope your DH sticks to the three bottles of vino per week! I thought first of all that he had been prescribed three bottles per week until I read that he has to get his consumption down from 14! Best wishes to him. My DH smokes but has recently gone from cigarettes to rollies and the money saved is amazing, plus the nuisance of rolling them has cut down his consumption, too, and the ones he rolls are smaller, especially as he hasn't quite got the hang of it! He was on about 15 a day and is now down to about 5 little tiddlers when he's busy!

I finished a bit early today and have been to see Dad.He's very down today as his neighbour died this morning of bowel n lung cancer, and he was only diagnosed 6 weeks ago:eek:   Think it's brought things home to Dad who tries so hard to stay positive, bless him:o Anyway his legs pains have eased with super dooper pain killers, that he had to ask the doc for, even though he's riddled wiv cancer. It's unreal:eek:
OS wise i'm doing sweet FA today, sorry but that's just the way i'm feeling.
Have a great evening everyone, and did anyone watch Fergie in Hull on tv last night? I love her
Yes, I did see it, I think she lovely and down to earth. I was a wee bit annoyed with the family from hull, there food budget is £80.00 and seems quite reasonable to me but they kept on going on about money and four of them smoked, including the 13 year old:eek:
I hope Sarah manages to turn them around tonight, I have never seen anyone cook sausages in a microwave like the lady did last night on the TV."Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age. Nothing does, except wrinkles. It's true, some wines improve with age. But only if the grapes were good in the first place." — Abigail Van Buren0 -
Hiya :hello:
Well done on the weight loss dlb, anniebooklover, charlie's mum and anyone else losing weight. My 'not a diet' has come to a standstill due to too many meals out, wedding parties, communions etcI must try harder.
I had a lovely morning at the church drop-in as all of my friends bought me some flowers and presents as an early surprise for my 40th birthday which is next week. They also made we wear a birthday cake hat and sang to me, which was fun!:rotfl:
The house has been cleaned, dusted, moped etc and we're having hm chicken and leek pie for tea.
I'm off out to a PCC meeting at church tonight, so at least that gets me out of the ironing. I'm in work for the rest of the week, but we break up on friday for half-term. :j
Have a good evening.:D0 -

Hi everyone,
I just wrote a very long message ( might even have beaten Mioliere's longest) posted it and then it got lost somehow!!
Aussie. Good luck with the treatment and hope you feel better soon.
Pen-Pin Hope you are on the mend
MeanMarie. Good luck to your husband and hope all goes well with the life change.
Candy girl. Hugs to your dad.
DS2 wife is going round to sort out a few financial matters tonight. Hope he will be O.K. as he still is so upset and justs wants her back which isn't going to happen. Their first wedding aniversary would have been in July. It is not easy when you see someone you love hurting but I must stop feeling sorry for myself as I know I am lucky as all of my family are healthy so I musn't grumble.
I love this forum as everyone is so friendly and helpful but I do seem to use up a lot of my time here!!
Must dash to prepare dinner. Hugs to everyone. xx0 -

The kangaroo and all it's accessories have been added into the pic of a lady in a supermarket. From this point of view as it's apparently not genuine I don't feel that there has been any cruelty, if I had thought for one second that there was I wouldn't have posted the link to the pic in the first place.
sorry Arkonite but I didn't look at it long enough to notice that it wasn't real! I wasn't having a go at you personally.Do what you love :happyhear0
