So many people with worries icon9.gif

Big hugs to you Pam. I hope you are coping and managing some rest.
Sorry I didn't get to post on the 16th smoky to send you love. I hope you are all doing as well as you can.
Candygirl I'm sorry you're feeling down but it's understandable. I'm so pleased your DAD has had some pain relief.
Aussie. I'm sorry your test results weren't better but I don't know many other grannies as fit and healthy looking as you and as you say it's beggar al to do with your lifestyle so hopefully the meds will do their job.
Jayward. Sorry you've had such a bad time. xxx
DG. Glad you got through the mammogram ok.
Stef.. Give the ex a kick in the knackers from Auntie Haribo too.

Life has been hectic recently and those bits of it that aren't mad have been a bit shoite tbh. I did have a lovely time in Ireland with Pink though. :A
OH is away for 2 nights so I'm enjoying the peace. Got a tonne of washing done today so I'm off to iron it in a bit, then do the lunches.

Oh, Candygirl - that's horrid; I don't know what else to say. They can be so selfish at times, can't they? Don't blame yourself for spoiling her - we are all guilty of that because we want them to be happy; it's just a real blow when they forget how much you do for them and treat you like that.

STEF - I do hope DD's hand is better soon. As for what her father has just said - well, I would be livid! (((Hugs))) to you and her.

I saw that programme with the Duchess of York - I had never really liked her but she impressed me immensely last night with her very down-to-earth ways. It was the family I was so annoyed with! They couldn't afford to decorate the bedrooms but still managed to have TVs in them, they all smoked (apart from the little girl, for now) and that must cost a fortune with five smokers in the house, and they wasted good money on the wrong foods. To be fair, the children don't have any say while they are still living there. I'll be really interested to see if Fergie cracks it with them - I don't think they themselves can be bothered!

Well, I have had a lovely spaghetti bolognaise for dinner with some HM bread pudding for afters and I'm going to have a long soak in the bath.

    See you all later.

Well, now back from holiday and not totally caught up. Thought I could read the thread today but rather sporadic.

I had the most wonderful time with my family and my DSIL is a hero - two weeks with a MIL - fantastic. Despite weather we had a fantastic time on holiday. Met some really interesting people!!!!!!!!!!!

Meanmarie - what on earth is going on with DH. Do hope your trip to Oz goes ahead.

Congratulated PenPen on being a [strike]boss[/strike] a good guru to us all on the other thread! I know she will keep the troublemakers in line! You know who I mean!

Aussie - I have an underactive Thyroid and on thyroxine. It will take some time and blood tests to get the medication correct. Think at least about 6 months or more down line. Thyroxine takes at least a month to kick in. DH on statins for the cholestrol and that takes time too. Take care. (By the way he arrives in Aussie Land 30th June - Cairns and Darwin!).

Love and hugs to all. Specially thinking about PenPin, how is JackieO and how are you and the family Smokey?

Yes, well you lock up good and sound. We don't want you roaming about the streets Twink during the night. :D

Essex Girl I was just pulling your leg. :o Kangaroo's are not allowed to be pets. Or any other native wildlife. It was just a super-imposed picture. Very bad taste may I add. :D
Candygirl She could be just winding you up. They like to do that.
MeanMarie So glad that DH got the green light. What a relief.
Haribo So did Pink behave herself? Do tell. :D

Thanks very much for your good wishes. I feel a bit of a fraud really as I'm not sick or anything. Just felt for a little while I wasn't running on all cyclinders iykwim. :D My sister goes in for angiogram today, I couldn't sleep well and up early. Goodness, maybe we should make it the daily medical thread. :rotfl:

Hope you sleep well & <hugs> to those that need them. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Hello everybody :hello:

Just a quick "bob in" before I paint my nails, go to bed and listen to everything I've taped on the digital radio - I know very excessive spending for me but I am fed up of everything I miss on Radio 4 not being available to listen to on the website. I can't move for The Archers now!! :D Today I took pitta and hummous and tomorrow will be using the last of it for cucumber and hummous sandwiches. Mr Rage has been to the docs as he had a temp of 101.... he has something up with his leg (some sort of muscle inflammation) - which the GP said was very interesting for his student he had with him..... talk about cutbacks in the NHS, they're using Mr Rage's legs now  Anyway, he's got a raft of blood tests to go to (which I explained to him what FBC and the like stood for) so he's going tomorrow. As I've got to have some as well it would make sense to go tomorrow for them as well but Wednesday is my clinic day and as my consultant is off next week and therefore no clinic you can imagine how busy it will be  . So that wouldn't go down well if I wasn't all present and correct at 8.30. Little bit of good news though - I have a hedgehog in my garden. "Mr Snuffles" is very partial to mealworm crumble and, I hope, all my slugs. Got a couple of new Avon customers today as well so my £10 get a free gift incentive is working - eventually..... I have also announced to Mr Rage that we will be doing Martin's mone makeover tomorrow - not sure he heard me as he's all bunged up but I took his lack of protests as acquiesence!!! :rotfl: Right, I have an afternoon play to listen to and possibly an episode of The Navy Lark!!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

sorry Arkonite but I didn't look at it long enough to notice that it wasn't real! I wasn't having a go at you personally.

    s'ok I know you weren't having a go ;)

I'm off until the end of the week, the doc has me signed off. I have an official excuse to be a couch potato :D
On the other hand she did recommend a salt bath, just had one and good grief, brought tears to the eyes it did :eek::eek:

Off to catch up on my bits and bobs, see you all tomorrow.
