Help! Sliced apples, how do I stop them going brown?
Tomorrow is DS last day at school and they are having a little party. As usual they put up a list of food asking parents to sign by what they would like to bring in. By the time I got there the only thing left was apple slices. Now I don't have a problem with doing them, far from it, but I am worried that if I cut them up…

Apples For Healthy Snacks
My daughter wants to take an apple as her healthy snack for school which is fine, but she wants it cut up! Wont it go all brown if i cut it up and put it in a container? Is there anything i can do to stop it going brown?

Storing cut apples
Is there any way of storing cut apples without them going all brown and nasty? I think my new parakeet will like apples, but she's only tiny so I doubt she'll eat a whole one. And I can't afford to buy loads for her to only have a few beakfuls of each one!

Sliced apples in lunchboxes
Hi. I want to put sliced apples in my kids' lunchboxes but having no luck keeping them from going brown. Have tried fresh lemon juice but it leaves a strong taste. What am I doing wrong? On the same note, what 'liquid' do I put in fruit salad, again to keep it fresh and add to the flavour?:confused:

Hi all :hello: In an effort to lose weight, save money and continue baking delicious treats for myself and the family, I was wondering... Which hm cakes and biscuits (etc) freeze well in individual portions? Cheesecake freezes well And muffins / un-iced fairy cakes..... anything else?:confused:

Can I use these eggs?
I hard boiled 2 eggs last night when making ds tea ready for my lunch today (they were supposed to be out of date on 13th Jan but did the float test and seemed fine) anyway I accidentaly left them out overnight in the kitchen instead of putting them in the fridge... Do you think I can still eat them? I hate to waste them…

How long does it take to get used to fruit?
I've bought loads of differnt nuts and dried fruit and have been drinking a glass of orange and lemon juice in the evenings (made from 2 or 3 large whole oranges and 1 whole lemon). Lovely jubbley! hi i have just made broccoli and cauliflower cheese and have kept the water to make soup. i want to know will the water keep in the fridge until saturday or should i freeze it then defrost it ?? if i do freeze it can i then freeze the soup after as i'm making lots ? sorry for all the questions :rotfl:

Its run in the wash HELP
My Mum has put her white cotton bathrobe in the wash with a dark blue towel. Its turned light blue. Is there anyway to get the colour back to normal??
