Trifle
I have lined the base with slices of swiss roll-can i also add fruit now, then pour over the jelly? Did my mum used to add half the reserved fruit juice from the can to jelly rather than make it all with water?Do you need to make the jelly a bit firmer in a trifle?

Don't throw away your sprout trimmings - make soup!
This is really frugal - don't throw away all those outer leaves when you trim up the sprouts for Christmas dinner - make some soup, I tried it - it's delicious and cheap! And I guess you could also make it with left over sprouts and reduce the cooking time a bit - and save even more money. Found the recipe HERE :D

Like a fool ive decided to do yorkshire pud and sausages (separately as opposed to toad in the hole). The batter is made and sitting in the fridge. Would you make a single large yorkshire or little ones. How long does it take to cook a large one and at what temp? (fan oven) Thanks

Reheating HM Christmas pud - help needed
I've made my own xmas pud this year. We made a big one and had enough left over to make a small one, which we ate the next day. I thought the texture of the small one was a bit soft, so I'm thinking that if I steam the larger one again on Christmas day it will make it softer. Is it possible to take scoops off the pud and…
