Reheating HM Christmas pud - help needed

I've made my own xmas pud this year. We made a big one and had enough left over to make a small one, which we ate the next day. I thought the texture of the small one was a bit soft, so I'm thinking that if I steam the larger one again on Christmas day it will make it softer. Is it possible to take scoops off the pud and microwave it in a bowl in individual portions, and if it's possible how long would it need? Does it sizzle or something when it's hot?
Thanks.

  • I steam mine again on christmas day for about 3 hours. If I want to reheat that, I cut slices, put them onto plates, cover with an upturned bowl and heat on high for a minute or so. When they're ready they steam and sizzle.

  • I've taken slices and heated under the grill and I'm pretty sure I've also done it in the microwave but can't remember how long.

So the reheating on xmas day is just to warm the pud through, it's not to finish the cooking? If so, I'll take scoops and warm them in the micro. Don't want to make anybody poorly...
  • You won't make anyone poorly as none of the ingredients in a Christmas pud are dangerous raw, it is basically a cake. I don't know about you, but I cook mine for 8 hours when I make them anyway -I'd say that was good and cooked ;) I'll be reheating mine for 2 hours on Christmas day.
