Old Stylers - What is your fashion??
At the ripe old age of ahem early fifty something, I no longer am into fashion, and while I don't like to look too frumpy am quite happy with clothes that are comfy and serviceable. This is where my local charity shop comes in. They have a pound rail and I get some really lovely clothes from it. This week I got a brand new…

Ham economics
I'm sure many people are aware of this but it's worth repeating. Ham is much cheaper to buy as a whole joint than in little packets ready-sliced. An example I buy Tesco finest wafer thin ham in 100g packs for £2.19 I usually get 2 packs a week for lunch boxes. I know it's not their cheapest ham, but I'm fussy and like it…

Not going organic?
I really wanted to go organic this year but am on a limited income due to disability. Today I got my sainsburys online delivery and paid £1 for 3kg of penne pasta. Organic it would be that for 500g. With that kind of price difference I really can't justify it. I'll stay organic in my milk (I have enough hormones already)…
