Help please! When I went through my freezer I found a bag of frozen chopped melon
I defrosted some today to eat, and it had almost no taste at all. yuck.
Any ideas what I can do with it please?

Clutching at straws a bit here, but can you use it as a base for a smoothie (given that melon is so watery...?!)? I would keep it in the freezer, and keep an eye out for some reduced strawberries/raspberries/mango/peaches (some of, not necessarily all of...:p), then blitz it all up with a banana (so give it some body so its not too watery).
I'm sure others will come up some much better ideas...hang on in there!

Oooo, love the alcohol idea TL... now which one? Vodka maybe? Mmmmm
I think the fruit salad one might be best for diet though :rotfl:Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!0 -
Ginger is nice with melon. Have you any preserved ginger in syrup ? I'd add that chopped small.0

Melon works well with Port - use icing sugar if you just want sweet or caster sugar if you want a bit of crunch!0 -
Oh yes!!!! Thank you thriftlady - that will be the one for me!!!
I LOVE ginger and have plenty preserved in syrup. I even have the ginger sauce from lakeland (which is the ginger syrup and chopped ginger bits)Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!0 -

I tried this recipe today. It started well, I made it up and put a jar as the recipe says - but when it cooled the sugar crystalised and turned into a hard lump at the bottom of the jar, and the ginger was just floating in the sweet yucky water on top :rotfl:
Ah well - it was fun trying. I'll go back to buying I thinkSave the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!0
