Toffee on my trousers

Having sat down on a half chewed toffee it has attached itself to a pair of cotton trousers.Please do you have any idea for removal----??????????

If it's anything like chewing gum aren't you meant to put it in the freezer and pick it off?

1. Put trousers in freezer till toffee is brittle, then chip off.
2. Suck trousers until toffee is melted! (sorry, couldn't resist).:rotfl:0 -
You could try the freezer technique to get most of it off, then try treating it the way you would a wax mark - ie iron it under a piece of brown wrapping paper or kitchen towel.
If the item is washable, wash it on as high a heat as you dare - toffee is mostly sugar and should dissolve.

Sugar will dissolve in cold water (eventually) so I think that normal washing should remove the residue once you have chipped off the worst as suggested above.0
