Slow cooker help needed
I am trying my new sc out for the first time today, and decided to try the Creamy pork chop recipe I found on here. It says to pour the chicken bouillon over the pork chops and cook on slow for 6-7 hours. My only concern is that the bouillon doesn't cover the chops (I have 5 and only 3 lay flat on the bottom), does this…

New child board for crafts/ clothes making?
I assume a lot of O.Sers do this and I would love a sub section in O.S dedicated to repairing / reconing / embellishing/ making clothes and all kinds of crafts (i.e paper making, clay, jewellry etc). I know there are threads on these topics already but it'd be best to have them all in one, and if so it might encourage…

Overzealous pureeing, what can I do with the excess?
I got a little carried away with the purees when I started weaning our baby and now have far too much. I was loving the smug mummy feeling with my steamer and blender and have needlessly packed out our chest freezer. Not so smug now..lol He is onto solid foods now, so I can use some of them added to his rice/ pasta etc,…

The low maintenance frugal garden
I thought I'd share some ideas with you about gardens. I'm a tenant with a large ish garden which I am responsible for maintaining, but I don't have a great deal of time to spend on it and am certainly not spending money on it! So here's some ideas I've come up with: 1. Brighten it up with pot plants. These can then be…
