Overzealous pureeing, what can I do with the excess?

I got a little carried away with the purees when I started weaning our baby and now have far too much.
I was loving the smug mummy feeling with my steamer and blender and have needlessly packed out our chest freezer. Not so smug now..lol
He is onto solid foods now, so I can use some of them added to his rice/ pasta etc, but he will not eat anything too soft now he's progresssed onto tougher foods so Idon't think I'll use them all.
Plus I need frezer space for his current foods!
I am wondering how I could incorporate them into 'grown up' food?
I have approx 200 ice cubes of pureed sweet potato
200 of apple
200 of carrot and parsnip
100 of pear
100 of butternut squash and mashed potato
100 of melon and mixed berries
100 of pureed butterbeans
100 of brocolli cauli and potato
and a few others..you get the idea!
Any tips?

Can you add some of the sweet potato, carrot and parsnip and butternut squah and potato ones into mashed potato (obviously not all at once!). It would probably make it a bit creamier and add more flavour.
The melon and mixed berries may make a nice ice smoothie with some yoghurt if they are still frozen whizzed in a blender.
Will have a think about the others!0 -
oooh yum..thats a good idea!
We have used a few of the melon and berry ones in water...it makes lovely drink on the hot days! And baby loves it too..
hmmmm...it might be nice with that cheap white wine i've got lurking in the fridge too..Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
What if I used the veg ones to bulk up my stock? or would it not work?Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0

Can you use them as a base for the new meals but add big chunks of potato and vegetable etc or pieces of fruit?"You can't buy love, but you can pay heavily for it." Henry Youngman0

I think I'd be tempted to use the veggi based ones as a topping for shepherds pies or to mix with fish as fish cakes.
What about putting some of the fruit ones in a pot and covering in jelly.
You could use a couple of the veg ones stirred through rice, cous cous or pasta to serve along side a main meal too....."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Thanks..it was hard to stop..lmao at 'weaning party' suggestion..teeehee
We will plough through them I'm sure, I just suddenly got a reality check and was overwhelmed at how much I'd made.Membre Of Teh Misspleing Culb0 -
The vege one's I'd use in soups.
The fruit one's I'd use to mix with natural yoghurt, apple & ginger yoghurt is super. The berry one especially would be nice over plain ice cream.0 -

I'd defrost and reheat the veg ones together with some more water, and flavour with balsamic vinegar and caraway seeds - they'd make fantastic soup. Got the secret from a wholefood cafe where I had the best soup in my entire life. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal.
