Van BIK Tax
I’m soon to be getting a company vehicle from my employer. I’m looking to get a VW Transporter Kombi (6 seater). Would this be classed as a van and BIK taxed as such or would it fall under the car category and therefore be taxed much more for BIK tax? Anyone had experience with this before? thanks

Left Deposit on Unseen Car Now Changed My Mind
Hi all, Last Wednesday I left a £500 deposit on a car (total cost £17500) that I had not seen and am due to pick up tomorrow. It is from a dealer. I have in writing that if I see the car and I am not happy the deposit is refundable. The dealership is a 5-6 hour round trip away which is why I left a deposit without seeing…

How to sell a car privately?
I've never sold a car, I've always part-exchanged. I'm planning on advertising on Auto Trader (and maybe eBay?). But how do I then physically sell the car in the current climate? Anyone wanting to buy it would surely want to drive it. Social distancing means they'd have to test drive it on their own which probably means…

Fast forward to March and we noticed it was leaking from under the bonnet so got it booked in asap with my local main…

I can't find a definitive answer on the .gov website but I'm thinking that if I transfer ownership (online) on the 1st June, the new owner will have to tax immediately so the vehicle is taxed and I am covered as the…

SORN car parked in alleyway?
Hi all. There's a SORN car parked in an alley/gulley way of some sort. I know if the area is the responsibility of the Council, then it shouldn't really be there. The alleyway is fairly large; cars can come and go through it if they wish, albeit a bit if a tight squeeze. So should the car be reported? Thanks.

What is the expiry date of a deferred MOT?
The MOT on my car expires in June, but under the new (temporary) regulations, I can defer it for 6 months. This means I don't have to have it done until December. If I decide to wait until December, does that mean the new MOT is valid for another 12 months, or will it expire on its original date, i.e. June 2021?
