Transporting Car between Arnold Clark Branches
Hi, We are based in Newcastle and are interested in a car that is on Arnold Clark's website, but in their York branch. We have called the branch today to see about getting the car brought up to our nearest branch for a test drive. We have paid £100 to get the car taken 'off sale' for the moment, and are discussing having…

New car
Hi. I've just recently purchased a car, from a dealer selling from his home. Drove car home, no issues. Took it for a drive following weekend where it developed a mis fire, as the dealer was a distance from home, booked it into a local porsche specialist in Cardiff, where on diagnostic, faults were found. Had to replace…

Small car recommendations please?
Any recommendations please for small cars from 2007 onwards that are economical to run, good in old age, that can handle hills/motorway? Do I need a 1.4 or would a smaller engine cope? Spending £1.5-3k, looking for petrol not diesel, manual gearbox. Could be as small as a 2-seater, as long as the engine copes. Many thanks.

How low can they go.

Can I haggle with Volkswagen over used car
Hello I saw a car I think would suit me at a Das Welt Volkswagen dealer. It's a 2016 5-door Move Up. Do you think I could negotiate the price and/or their interest rate on HP down? (I've sort of tried already, but no luck.) Thanks!

Edit: thanks for your advice. I've taken legal advice over this and the issue is between the garage and the owner, not myself.

To service or not to service
I have a 2011 Nissan Qashqai, that does a tiny 3,000 miles per year. I have religiously serviced it every year up until now, along with it's MOT however I'm now wondering if I'm just wasting my money. This has been especially highlighted to me by some intermittent issues I'd been having with my battery - every service and…

Clutch
I have recently bought a 2nd hand car (5/6 weeks ago) I've subsequently been told that the clutch is slipping although I have not felt it or seen any signs of this. If I require the clutch to be replaced, is the dealer responsible for the cost because it must have been sold with an underlying problem.

Reliable automatics
I've always driven manuals but am likely to go automatic for my next car, longer runs and town driving is tiresome when having to shift gears constantly, wife may use the car and she prefers automatic too. I have seen a lot of horror stories on auto's going caput and needing expensive work e.g: early DSG issues on VAG…

Non fault rear collision claim.
Hi In December 2019 whilst stopping in stationary traffic the car behind me crashed into the back of me. Details were exchanged and I informed my insurance company of the accident and made a claim.
