Car serviced and MOT'd - a week later it dies. Oil cap not secured
I'm NOT sure if the two are related. I got my car serviced and MOT'd on 17/11. On 25/11 I was driving home and the car started making this awful noise. I got it home and opened the bonnet. The oil cap was not secured. My car is now a write off. It's only 6yrs and 65,000 miles and it is unusual for the car to die this…

Diesel or Petrol
Just about to retire and buy one 'last' new or good demonstrator car, but should it be diesel or petrol ? The annual mileage will be around 6-8k, but in the next 5-10 years with the government impose heavier taxes / duties on diesel ? Tempted to go for a low mileage diesel hatchback but cautious about the future......

Pre Registered Ford Fiestas
A couple of years ago a friend purchased a Pre Registered Ford Focus which only had just over 50 miles on the clock. ( I think this was only the delivery mileage). The saving against a new Ford Fiesta was huge. Are Pre Registered ford still available and where would I find them listed.

I bought a brand new Skoda Octavia VRS in 2016. Collected the car on 29/03/16 so car is on a 16 plate. Ive had the following issues and mentioned them at the first service in Feb this year. Skoda wouldn't even entertain a warranty claim at that point. Fast forward to last week and the car is in for its second service @ 20k…

Expensive cars easy to steal...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-42132804/relay-crime-theft-caught-on-camera The most shocking bit of this is the advice of police which is to fit a steering wheel lock in addition. How about the manufacturers at least try to make it more difficult in the first place? If I had a car with this proximity lock I'd take it back…

No Claims; one car; two drivers
Hi. I would appreciate guidance from the forum group. My wife and I own and use one car (it is formally my car). We both have 10+ No Claims Discount for when we owned two cars. How can we both retain the NCD as they become invalid after 2 years? Can we wife insure my car or there a better option? Thank you.
