Our 11 year old mercedes A150 developed starting problems and went for repair last month at the dealership. buying used car - transfer private plate
I currently have car with private plate and are looking at buying a newer used car. Would the dealer transfer the plate to the new car when I buy it and put a new plate on my existing car (I don't intend trading it in). I've mislaid all my private plate paperwork, can they still do it without this or do I need to find it?

classic car key cutting
I'm the proud owner of half of a 40-year-old MGB Roadster. It came with one set of keys, so we need another set cut - I popped along to our local Timpson's this morning with some original MGB key blanks, to be told that they don't do this any more. They would be happy to use their own blanks, but as the car is a classic…

ripped off?
Traded in my car last week for £2,000, which matched what the guide prices say in Parkers etc. But I was a bit surprised to see the car up for sale now at £3,500! Now I'm pretty sure they won't sell at that price, but is this a usual mark-up or have I been "done" ?

I've got my MOT coming up and have been asked to bring along my V55. But isn't that only a form? Online searches for what a V55 looks like only produced a series of form. Thanks for helping me out.

Remote opening problem (solved)
2009 Peugeot 308 Diesel My wife found her fob wouldn't open the car. She didn't want to use mine as there were too many keys on it so I told her to open the door with the key. I currently have a VW Passat Saloon on a company car scheme - I've done 82,000 miles in the last 4 years with regular 3-4 hour motorway journeys at least once a week. I also have 2 children under 5 (no plans to add to the family!) therefore…

My wife wants the privacy glass in the…
