Kia Picanto - MOT & Servicing
Sorry if this is a silly question but I have a Kia Picanto, still within the 7 year warranty. Do I need to take it to a particular garage to have the MOT & servicing done to preserve the warranty? Would it be the case that if a part was needed which was covered by the warranty, I may have to then go to a KIA garage? Is…

Damaged Windscreen from Falling branch
Hi People Last week the wife came back to her car, which was parked on the road side, when she saw the windscreen being completely smashed, with dents to the bonnet AND roof. Manchester All Day Parking (South of centre)
Does anyone know of any cheap (sub £5) all day car parks in, or within a reasonable walk of, the University/Royal Infimary/Oxford Road region of Manchester? Ideally a £2/3 a day jobby. Of course free would be even better! I travel in from the south a couple of days a week and have been using the East Didsbury park and…

Purchase of a faulty 2nd hand car from a dealer
I bought VW Golf for £4495 on 11th February 2017 and on the 16th the brake warning light came on. I looked in the manual and it said to top up the brake fluid which I did. I drove it for around 15 miles and the brake warning light came continuously bleeping loudly. As it is the brakes I cannot drive the car at all after…

Should I expect to be put back into pre-accident position
I haven't had an accident for many years so not sure what position I should expect to be in these days. I was hit on a roundabout by a driver who didn't give way to me coming from the right - she just sailed straight through. It was low-collision and no-one was injured. She has admitted liability. My car has now been…

Is this suspicious?
Hi all - After some shopping around I found a car I liked on auto trader which was located in S!!!!horpe (I'm in Swansea) with a company called Motor Depot. After talking to the sales people I decided to 'register interest' by putting a refundable deposit down over the phone, and going through some details with them. At…

Where should I register and insure my car?
Hello, I'm looking to buy my first car soon. I'm 22, I live in London and my parents live in a small village in Cambridgeshire with no public transport at all. The quotes for insuring a small car in London are around £1500, the quotes for the same car in Cambridgeshire are around £500. I don't really need to use the car in…

How to dry out a KA
My fors KA cabriolet has got a roof which has not survived well this winter. Add that to the fact that I haven't driven it (am using my Dads car) as the KA's heating stopped working. I now have a new job and will not need the KA at all. It is covered in mould inside, although it wipes off pretty easily. MOT runs out in…

Buying new car at end of the month
I'm about to buy a new car and the dealer says the offer is only valid if registered before the end of the month. With the new tax disc rules does this mean that dealers can no longer tax the vehicle with two weeks advance tax like they used to? Basically seems a pain to lose out on a whole months' tax on a brand new car.

Driving down the M90 last night, I was behind a huge great Mercedes, registration FLY8E. Obviously meant to be FlyBe. Who does it belong to, I wonder ????? ( Yes, it appeared to be heading for Edinburgh…
