Hi all, What does the parking sign below mean? I think it says Permit Holders Only at the top. Can I park here on Saturdays and Sundays if I am not a Permit Holder? Sorry for the poor quality of image I used Google Maps.

Question about cancelling car tax after sale
We have just sold a car and so I went online and cancelled the car tax on the Gov website. After putting in all the details it confirmed that the tax was cancelled and also said to destroy the V5 and not to send it to the DVLA. Is this right or have I read it wrong? Just worried in case I was on one of the bogus websites…

New noise - any ideas?
Hi all. Not money saving, but will ask anyway, so..... I've got a new noise on my 9 yr old Seat Leon. It's a whirring type sound, not there when stationary or in neutral. When accelerating in first and second I hear it, rising with revs. I can't really hear it in higher gears (maybe due road and wind noise at those speeds)…

First car...hardly know where to start...
Hello all, I'm in my 40s, passed my test when I was 18, and have never had a car or hardly even driven since. I now think I could do with a car...two kids...schools/nurseries to get to...and lots of little weekend trips that I want to do but just can't do on public transport. But, I honestly hardly even know where to…

Ambulance Chasers
I've been plagued by calls from these people since a no-fault accident in Oct 14. They either got the information from a comparison site when I renewed or from the data nicked from Aviva (third-party's insurers). I will automatically get anything from £2,000 to £4,000 as a comfort/discomfort/minor injury/inconvenience…

What'spart availability like on a Nissan Juke Nismo?
I'm trying to convince a friend to get a Nismo Juke, to treat herself, but whilst I assume parts for the standard Jukes will be easy to get (being Nissan and platform sharing with Renault) I've no idea what the deal is with the Nismo additions. Obviously it'll be more expensive and harder to find, but by much? Is it…

Used Car Just Over 1 Year - Gearbox Fault!
Hi all, Hope all is well with you. Need your expertise if willing? I bought a used car from Lookers - a Renault Clio 2011 - a little over a year ago. Unfortunately it has developed a gearbox issue in that I cannot shift gears with ease, if at all on some occasions! Mechanics I have visited stated it needs a new gearbox so…

Are SAAB cars expensive to run/maintain these days?
I have my eye on a 93turbo in an 05 plate. I know given the recent history SAAB cars are generally not sought too much these days but in terms of ownership costs are parts difficult to get hold of and how about general servicing and running costs? Anyone know much about these as I really like the look of this one.....;)…

Tyre pressure safe limits
My tyres should be at 31psi and the last time I checked them, around a week ago, one was at 29.5, the rest at 30 when tested cold. My as-yet-unanswered question is this: is 1.5psi under dangerous? Am I going to notice any performance/handling/fuel consumption issues yet? Is it ok to leave them a week until I fill up and…

locking wheel nut, lost key
My car is having a service and mot today. It has passed the mot :j but they can't find the wheel nut. I had a puncture last year so I'm wondering if the guy who fixed that walked off with it by mistake. The garage are having a think, but they might have to drill them. If they do, do I have to replace them with locking nuts…
