Freedom Contracts
I am about to place an order on a 2 year lease with freedom contracts. Has any one got any personal experience with them? So far the ladies I have spoken to on the phone are limited in knowledge, seem to want to get off the phone very quickly and prefer communicating by email. This is my first ever lease, so any pointers…

Car write off??
Hi everyone, I was involved in a three car accident (not my fault), where the front of my Volkswagen Scirocco 2009 has buckled (just drivable to get off the single road, but coolant leaked and a lot flashing computer lights screamed at me). Green flag took the car away to the garage (he mentioned at the time it would be…

Second hand cars and the London effect?
As a result of a response to an earlier post about buying a secondhand car, I have been using autotrader to get some valuations. I'm curious because I have noticed that used cars for sale from local dealers (i.e. in the London area) seem to be regularly up at a price roughly £1,000 over the top good condition autotrader…

RAC Passport results, HPI check discprency
Hello, Am planning to purchase a slightly used car and found two odd results in the RAC report that I had purchased, - There is a mileage discrepancy of 500 miles between the number of the report (source DVLA) and advertised by the dealer (I have a photograph of the odometer). MOT one month early and it fails - Can I still drive?
This old chestnut. Never really understood. Notwithstanding the old driving unroadworthy car, for which mot is irrelevant, is it OK to continue to drive the car if it fails an MOT (And you've got a month left)? Also, assuming MOT test does not raise anything too serious. Could be argued that car is roadworthy or not and…

Took my car in for service and cam belt change on Thursday. I thought it was worthwhile doing the cam belt as it's getting on a bit now. Bangernomics: any interest in a "how-to"?
Just finished a little job on our 5 series that I thought might interest people who'd like to tidy their car up but are on a budget (this is MSE after all!). The driver's seat had typical MW cloth wear to the backrest. I didn't take a before photo, but this pic of the old cloth draped over the finished job gives an idea of…

I have an RAC policy which I pay months but I'll get getting a lease car through work in the next two weeks. I won't need the RAC on the new car as that sort of thing is handled by the lease company.
